Ipswich Town (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Well played CITY!

Just what the doctor ordered at the start of a big week.

The team had a nice balance and after a shaky opening, we got in our groove and dominated.

Ederson and Dias solidified the defence and i thought Kev and Phil are finding their form and keep getting better.
Good to see Pep empty the bench too and the young lads looked comfortable, so it was a good day.

It was a big win as it's put us back in the top 4, so it's onward and upwards from here.

COME ON CITY!!!!

Can omly beat what's in front of you, and Ipswich are poor relatively. Truth is, we shoudln't care as we're back in the top 4. Doku was superb, and Foden, Gundo looked good, Kova scored a belter and we looked stronger everywhere but at right back, where Nunes did okay but clear it's not his best position, and without wanting to be negative on a great day he shouldn't be here at all.

Very encouraging signs and we are certainly beginning to click in the final third. Kdb and Doku linked up really well and ripped Ipswich to pieces down the left.

Also great to see Foden back in the groove

Just need another midfielder to add energy and assist in the transitions.

Said it all along, the fact the season is longer for us with the CWC is the reason we’ve been below par. We’ve prioritised that above all else and accepted we’ll be off it until around now.

We looked sharper, faster and fitter all over the pitch.

Long unbeaten run coming now and top 4/5 will ge completed easily and the Dippers will be looking over their shoulders in a couple of weeks very nervously.

I have faith.

Played well especially in the first half.

Foden at a different level suddenly and back to where we know he can be.

Kovacic beating his all time goal scoring season - 4!

Doku played very well and doesnt get enough credit on here at times.

Dias and Akanji both very good.

Nunes at least putting a shift in and standing up to be counted - playing well out of position and giving it his all.

McAtee - so tidy in his play and very good goal - I do hope he has a future here as he has real potential.

I was out of the country for the last few months, and due to time zones haven’t seen us play since the 1-0 win at home to Southampton late in October.

I’ve just got back and today was the first match I’ve been able to watch again.

Not sure what all the fuss has been about, we looked pretty good to me.

Big confidence building win ahead of a monster run of fixtures. Goals coming from all over again and not just the big man. Hopefully Marmoush can add to that too. Be nice to get a midfielder in this week, but that's just being picky. Them red bastards losing. Great Sumday all round.

The fear of Omar coming, we finally started scoring.

Great game and great result ,but the big and real test lies ahead for the next month or so. No injurys please and let´s hope the new signings adjust fast with our team and the way we play.
