Ipswich Town (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Said it all along, the fact the season is longer for us with the CWC is the reason we’ve been below par. We’ve prioritised that above all else and accepted we’ll be off it until around now.

We’ve prioritised looked sharper, faster and fitter all over the pitch.

Long unbeaten run coming now and top 4/5 will ge completed easily and the Dippers will be looking over their shoulders in a couple of weeks very nervously.

I have faith.
They would need to have a monumental collapse - 12 pts and with the goal difference it might as well be 13 - they would need to lose 3 games and then we beat them as well plus a draw somewhere....obviously not impossible but how many teams are capable of beating them?

We can’t get carried away, Ipswich are a poor side but we are deffo getting back on track. Phil looks fully fit for the first time this term, as does Kev. Pleased to see youngsters getting proper minutes.
Reports of our demise are premature.
I never felt more like singing the blues….

Hopefully now with an influx of new signings and one or two players coming back there is competition for places once again which no doubt helps up the performance.

Had doubts abut the team selection….but we just had too much for Ipswich.

I thought Doku was my Man of the match.

4 or 5 draws will have them running scared, we’re lucky again yesterday and one injury to Salah or Van Dyck will cause concern.

It ain’t over until it’s over and no fat lady is singing yet.

71% possession in the second half, woth goals to back it up. Honestly missed having such dominance. The energy levels in the second half, especially, were leagues above what we have seen recently. Nicely done all round.

Still don't like Gundo & Kovacic together, but that McAtee goal was beautiful - energy, decision making & execution.

Wasn’t the most confident start and Ipswich faired pretty well for the first 20/25 minutes.

After that, we looked decent and for some better finishing it would have been 9 or 10. Great away win, clean sheet, a real boost for the goal difference and some positive game time for a few too.

I had doubts too but they played into our hands with 5 at the back.
We actually used our extra man in midfield very well. We were comfortable there all game.

Not sure that midfield would have the same effect against Liverpool, but they were all good today.
