oh, it willI hope his protection in prison fails once in a while.
If it looks like a terrorist and smells like a terrorist, its a terrorist!![]()
Southport attacker Axel Rudakubana pleads guilty to murdering three girls at dance class
The 18-year-old also admitted 10 counts of attempted murder, producing ricin and possessing an al Qaeda training manual on what was due to be the first day of his trial.news.sky.com
Had an Al-Qaida training manual and has also been charged with producing ricin as a bio weapon, but we are still told the incident wasn't terror related. Ok.
Whether you deem it a terrorist attack or not will not affect his sentencing, so not sure how you reach that conclusion. If it looks like a terrorist and smells like a terrorist, its a terrorist!
It's pretty irrelevant whether he was born here or was an immigrant, the terrible result of his actions are the same.
The authorities seemingly trying to somehow downplay play these horrendous crimes by not calling them terrorist related is frankly pretty poor. It makes a mockery of the judicial system.

It's pretty clear that it's terrorist related with what they found at his house. But I'm not convinced it's anything to do with race religion or immigration. Sadly we have had similar awful attacks in the past such as at Dunblane, this just seems like another awful event by a person not fully in control of their mind.Right wingers will make it about race, immigration or religion. Shame.

Lol, so you don't think attacking a class of young children and their teacher is terrifying , but someone doing the same in Borough Market to adult's is?Whether you deem it a terrorist attack or not will not affect his sentencing, so not sure how you reach that conclusion.
The legal definition of terrorism has been shown twice already on the thread. That’s what the police and CPS use, not whether an attack was “terrifying” or not.
The bloke is going to prison for the rest of his life. Rightly.
Terrorism in legal terms is an act of violence carried out in the name of a political or religious ideology.Lol, so you don't think attacking a class of young children and their teacher is terrifying , but someone doing the same in Borough Market to adult's is?
We both know thats utter bullshit.
Indeed. It’s odd that it’s the main bone of contention, but here we are. What a shame the victims didn't have time for someone to explain the legal definition of terrorism to them before they died. I'm sure it would have come as some comfort to them to know they were actually only being murdered.
Because it is manipulating the criminal judicial system for political ends. In this case I believe they have not classed this act as terrorist to try and downplay religious hatred and stop further right wing violence and trouble. I can see why they have done it, but it's clearly not correct.Terrorism in legal terms is an act of violence carried out in the name of a political or religious ideology.
If some bloke ran amok in Borough Market without any form of religious or political motivation, that wouldn’t be classed as a terrorist act either.
Why does it even matter so much to people?
Unsurprisingly, I think that’s utter nonsense.Because it is manipulating the criminal judicial system for political ends. In this case I believe they have not classed this act as terrorist to try and downplay religious hatred and stop further right wing violence and trouble. I can see why they have done it, but it's clearly not correct.
I think this matters to people because the police were saying its misinformation that he was a terrorist and going after people who said so online....Terrorism in legal terms is an act of violence carried out in the name of a political or religious ideology.

Exactly. On a similar note, the likes of Sutcliffe, the Wests, and Brady and Hindley weren't classed as terrorists either. That didn't make their crimes any less horrific though.Terrorism in legal terms is an act of violence carried out in the name of a political or religious ideology.

It’s still premature anyway. We still don’t know the full facts. People love to jump to conclusions that fit with their prejudices.Someone started it with the usual crap of "liberals" will be blah blah blah.
The usual nonsense.
They’re still not suggesting it is an act of terrorism, so they’ve been pretty consistent.I think this matters to people because the police were saying it’s misinformation that he was a terrorist and going after people who said so online....
