For someone who has spent a lifetime in the public eye his delivery is appalling. He's reading word for word from the prompters and can't engage with the audience. The cognitive decline since his last stint is significant. I wonder who will really be runnung the show.

Which I why I think dead eye JD Vance is keeping his head down. When he's moved on he can give it the old 'I had nothing to do with him' schlock.

More fully, I think the 'most reserves' will be reported in many ways - discovered oil, available oil, expected oil, etc.. I think the US was top of one of those, but that does require somehow extracting the shale oil in Texas which will be horrific.

The age of statesmen is long gone I’m afraid and we are firmly in the age of social media chap with the most money.

Like them all, he is there to feather the nests of those who paid for him to be in charge, nothing more.

Just as if he said that he'd stop something so fast that it would make someone's head spin then I wouldn't accuse him of wanting to decapitate someone or break their neck.

Oh and what he ACTUALLY said is that he would put a meeting together between Putin and Zelensky and in that meeting, it would be solved within 24 hours rather than that he would stop the war within a single day of taking office. Which is also very obviously a way of saying he would solve something quickly rather than a definite time limit like he'd be sat in a negotiation meeting with a stopwatch. For a bunch who claim that everybody else are liars, the anti-Trump crowd don't have fail to do their research into these quotes.
