But the USA pays so much for defence because (a) its military is everywhere, (b) its enemy was the USSR and the front line is Europe and (c) the military-industrial complex wants it that way.

Probably deserves it's own thread but until the biggest pollutors start to help rather than hinder the situation, we are simply spunking money up the wall

After all it was us who started it with the Industrial Revolution, so we have to bare a fair bit of the responsibility.

So much photographic and video evidence of what happened, yet they've still been allowed to control the narrative on it and minimise it into just a spirited protest from patriots.

America really has become a fucking joke.

The thing is you're not wrong, Folk shouldn't kid themselves about rules/constitution where Teumps concerned. They will definitely want the Presidency to stay in the family. The Democrat’s aren't getting back in unless they make drastic changes and are more ruthless.

It's a funny old game is politics I wish I had a pound for everytime someone tells me that so and so will never get back in power

World politics is cyclical, we witnessed globalization and it enriched many by lowering inflation and greater trade etc, unfortunately it left many behind in its wake, the left behind are now in the ascendancy, but it will slowly swing back towards the left as those who are left behind realise that they are still left behind
 
The widespread release of insurrectionists, and the associated reactions, perfectly encapsulates to me why the US will end up tearing itself apart within a generation or so, possibly less.

I just cannot see how they are going to even begin to abate, never mind reverse the manifest and extreme divisions in their society.
