Haha. Apparently a potential loan to Lens. They really had us by the bollocks in those Khusanov negotiations!!

In all seriousness, though - if AK developed the way he did at Lens then it’s a fantastic deal/idea for Bah to go there too.

Love the forward planning. Doesn’t just feel like a deal where we buy low, loan out for him to impress and a quick profit - seems like a genuine plan to get him eventually integrated here.

He is something else, but Bah's performance stats are better. Still, Barcelona don't have too much defending to do, which is the perfect demonstration of why stats, sometimes, are utterly meaningless.
 
All three of the young centre backs we’re signing this window look as though they bring something different to the table. In this case Bah looks a real aerial threat and physical beast. Very exciting signing.

I think with Bah it’s his physicality. He’s 6ft 5 and has shown glimpses of good technical ability with the ball. He’s dominant in the air. Is very strong in a tackle. He’s only 18 but reads the game very well. Add all that together and you’ve got the makings of a world class centre half.
 
Like this one, aerial presence is something we severly lack.
Don't like taking him from a La Liga club whom id assume would happily keep him rest the season and loaning him to Ligue 1 though. Sums up our loan choices tbh and how so much talent is slipping through our nets last few years.
 
Is this a long term investment as you would think that Reis & Khusanov are likely to be the long term replacements for Stones & Ake or like Porro & many others, unlikely to be seen in a City shirt & sold on for a profit

Maybe it's a, Khusanov - Aké, Reis - Stones, Bah - Akanji (Eventually after loan spells). Or in any order depending on development?
