Yes, in world affairs we all have some role to play... And we'll all play our roles regardless of who's President, PM or the leader of each Country.
But as it relates to internal American issues which are of most importance, you don't. And every citizenry chooses its representatives primarily because of internal issues and not external ones.
When Fentanyl flow across our borders and kill American children, you'd have no skin in that. When our border patrol catches and released known foreign criminals into the interior, you have no skin it. The crime rate, inflation, economy and other governmental policies affecting workers, families, children, schools, etc. You have no skin in that. And it is those issues that primarily animate voters.
Whether Europeans think who we select is nice generally isn't a factor
