Book your train; stay over and enjoy a few chilled beers with your nephew. Get to the ground and see if you can get one off a tout or someone / anyone with a spare - even if you have to sit in home end.
Worst case scenario you watch it in boozer near ground .
You’ll have a great trip regardless.
Book it, enjoy it and ride the painted pony, let the spinning wheel glide.

I did something similar for the 2016 League Cup Final.
I took a gamble that City would beat Everton in the semi - final, so booked cheap train travel for the day of the Final, and thought if City don't get past Everton I will still meet James in London and go for a few beers with him and return home the next day.
And that all turned out for the good in the end.

Not ideal but far better than most of the alternatives, so I’m reasonably happy with that time.

Nice early start not a problem. Get a train around 6 probably and get in London about 9. And plenty of time afterwards to have a good drink and get back home the same day.

Fourth round is being played over five days with four different kick times on the Saturday and the three games on Sunday being played separately. Back in the day the draw was made and you can make plans, now we have to wait a few days for TV to have their say, then a few more days for ticket details etc. People wonder why the magic of the FA Cup has gone. FFS why are Forest having to play their game on a Tuesday away at Exeter with an 8pm ko? Palace away to Doncaster on the Monday at 7.45pm. Both must be around a 400 round mile journey, it just isn’t necessary but TV has fucked it all up plus the argument about the semi finals being at Wembley with stupid ko times and the final not being the last game of the season.

The answer, as I’m sure you’re already aware is that they’re inconveniencing a few thousand for the benefit of millions, who might want to watch on TV. So from a business point of view, why care?

You know the fans are going to have a bit of a moan and then still go anyway.

And we’re all probably guilty of encouraging it, indirectly. I’ve just watched Newcastle, Bournemouth and really enjoyed it. Not once did I think, I shouldn’t be watching this in solidarity with the Bournemouth fans who had to get up there for a 12.30 KO.

Just had a look; 9 matches spread over 5 days. Not sure there have been that many before, though in the past there’s been the occasional game on S4C as well.

I do know the answer I just don’t like it. Not sure many will be watching Donny v Palace though.

Spot on. We’ve got a better deal with that kick-off time than the fans of a few other clubs who have seen their games picked for TV coverage. As you say, you can still get down there early enough on the train for a few pre-match scoops, plus the earlier kick-off time opens up loads of options coming back. I’m booked on the first train out which is due into Euston just before 9, and coming back just after 5pm.

Likely to be AA or higher. Derby got 1,200 in the South Stand at £29,so appears to be between Cat AA at £30 and Cat A at £28.

The odd thing is Orient fans could get in for £10 for all tickets bar £20 the gallery?

That link is for the league game last season not the FA Cup game just played.
 
Stockport play them a week before and adult prices are £25, concessions £23, under 18’s £11 and their initial allocation is 608. Expect at least an extra tenner on adult prices.

EDIT: Orient has announced ticket prices for home fans, I suspect our announcement will follow soon. Away fans in the Rhino Bet stand, homes fans being charged £32
