President Trump

And Trump is pardoning the very people who assaulted them, one cop suffered brain damage and 4 have taken their lives since the incident, how do you think as a copper you’d feel know?
It's sickening. I've just seen an update on BBC News that one of the criminals was serving a 22 year sentence for grievously assaulting a police officer - and just like that, he's free.

I'm a firm believer in Karma; and this ugly as sin tyrant and his cronies will get theirs.

People over here cheering that online will be the same people that claim Starmer sent people to jail for a "few hurty words" - the world is fucked now.

Lets all accept that pardoning protesters who evidence show were assaulting cops is wrong. If he did that, terrible of Trump.

P.S: Foggy, example of when i disagree with Trump. Do not pardon anyone who assaultd law enforcement. Period!

That however doesn't explain why supposedly assaulted police officers are being preemptively pardoned. 2 separate issues.

1. Bad to pardoned known assaulters of officers.

2. These should not be conflated eith protest participants who didn't assault anyone (i.e. a majority of the convicted,)

3. None of the above has any relevance to why officers are getting preemptive pardoned

It does not add up!

Being part of Murdering Tens of thousands of children in Gaza will always be his legacy

Also going by the latest poll it seems the big decider on all those swing states Kamalla lost was the unrelenting support for Israel. They were fuckin told.

If it's not too much trouble, could you find the sample size, confidence intervals, methodology, specific queries etc. for this poll? As someone who studies polls regularly for work I'd like to see it, but I cannot find any of the information anywhere and normally I can.

I assume that the pardoned police officers is simply those who testified to the J6 hearing. All witnesses were treated the same; some were police.

Lots on YouTube too where it's being discussed. Suprised with all your knowledge of polls these slipped by you

Looks like it’s a single poll of 604 people conducted by IMEU (a Palestine supporting organisation) that is reported in multiple non-mainstream outlets.

OK, but that's not what I asked. Those are just videos repeating the information. I want to know how the data was collected. That's what seems strange -- I can't find the poll methodology anywhere.

Excellent, do you have a link to the data page?

I recogniz(s)e the source is biased but it doesn't mean their data was bad; that's what I'm trying to figure out -- was this conducted in a way to elicit the response I'd assume they wanted or not?

For example, if the question was open-ended vs. a selection of fixed choices that included Israel/Gaza, it'd be highly likely the responses would be much different.

Another example: in day-of-election exit polls, very few if any national news sources reported the Gaza issue as significant save for certain precincts in certain counties. It wasn't at all widespread.

I've said I didn't think it was especially important, especially when most rational folks would conclude that Trump would be a greater supporter of Israeli actions. But if I'm wrong, that's important.

I use Duck Go Go as my primary search engine. I searched "Biden Gaza Loss Polls" and a whole raft of results popped up involving multiple polls, from multiple sources, going back to 2023 all sounding a warning.

Any way, here from our friends at The Forward which claims Gaza did not affect the result.

Biden added that “I ran into trouble and criticism when I said a few years ago that you don’t have to be Jewish to be a Zionist, and I am a Zionist.”

I've seen the video of Biden telling a Jewish interviewer that he is a Zionist. It looks like Biden is somewhere in the Capitol, it takes place in a corridor, and the Jewish guy looks well-pleased with Biden's statement.

“It is a very personal visit because your relationship with Israel has always been very personal,” said Lapid. “You once defined yourself as a Zionist. You said that you don’t have to be a Jew in order to be a Zionist, and you were right. And in your case, a great Zionist, and one of the best friends Israel has ever known.

Make what you can out of this.

Still some big swings in those polls from 2020 - 2024. Not as much as the 29% though on the one I posted. I still think they lost a lot of votes through it as all the pre polling showed the Majority of Democrats wanted Biden to reign Netanyahu in, Instead he went all in.

The US is a poor excuse for a democracy. Essentially both parties run by the elite for the elite. By the way, that's not to say other democracies are much better.

Many people who voted for Trump, if they weren't billionaires who thought the grift would get even better, were people left behind by this elitocracy, and were rightly pissed off but wrongly assumed there was a party that in any way gave a shit about them.

In fact Trump cares less than most as he's a selfish narcissist who will in my view try to extend his term to a third.

Trump never blames victims? Like PoWs?

Coz i enjoy the discussions and genuinely want to know what animates different types of people. Not to mention, there sre Americans in here too.

Similarly, i have opinions about your PM and some of the things going on in your Country. But i don't have skin in the game this o don't get all bent out of shape about it...

Simply put, i expect and you all will deal with it as best you can or not.
Never seen you in the Irish politics thread.
I’ve been waiting patiently for years.
