I go back to dave and his son being born at 24 weeks and yet he jetted back and forth to not let us down, he is a total legend for even thinking about playing to pay back the support he got from pep and the , club and fans
Great idea, let’s pay him £200k plus a week to sit on the bench cheering the lads on and taking up a place in the squad.There is no upside to a captain deserting his team mates in a difficult time, i dont down play all the good years and how much he did contribute, of course not but i have never liked or respected him as a man , he is a dog of a man and it has totally affected his mind this season and his interest in being here. He coud sit on the bench till the end of the season if he wanted to and still support the lads

Everybody makes mistakes, every mistake is different and respect doesn't come by default. If any of my mates behaved the way Walker has done in their thirties I'd call them fucking idiots and question the morales of the people I am friends with. I personally wouldn't want these type of people around me, and much more important in this context I don't want them representing a club that I love. I don't really care how other people react to these type of actions. If you personally have no issue with it or it just doesn't bother you that is fine. But stating it as a fact that people didn't care when he delivered on the pitch is not true

His brain and decision making regression is also a factor , and his positional awareness is Micah Richards levels, not enough pace to correct himself time after time. Was bombed out by Pep in the treble season for this but somehow did an Undertaker style resurrection last season when he was decidedly averageYe walkers legs going isn't too big of a deal for him, he's still fast enough. He does however need to stop heavily relying on speed and giving 5 to 10 yard head starts. Off the field has affected him mostly.
