The game is so open. There is space on the flanks and behind the defense. Their midfield is way more athletic. Kova and Bernie struggling tbh.

Honestly the back 4 has held up reasonably well.

Unfortunately that bloke some of the posters here referred to as a FFS did more useful things in one half against PSG than he did in his all career.

Kovacic wouldn’t have got in our team 3 years ago yet now he’s one of the first names on the team sheet.

He is not a DM and never was, playing way above his paygrade.

We need to find a way to inject more energy into the midfield. Bernardo just isn't the man any more. It's sad that Mcatee isn't a serious option because of lack of big game experience.

How do we inject energy into midfield when we have 3 over 30s in there.? It's impossible and a reason we get over run most weeks.

No, but he certainly enforces the opposition press hits a brick wall; we can’t get out half the time, he swats it away like no other player we’ve seen…. The players around him can takes risks by pushing on, that can’t happen at the moment…. We are free flowing by being a yard ahead because of his security

We can win here, but we need the first goal.

Our build up play is all very scrappy.

Lack cohesive because we have a poor midfield is causing so many issues.

Really hope with the new signing we see Akanji or stones play in the centre to give us that much needed bite defensively and offensively.

We will continue to struggle until midfield is of a better quality than what we have now.

It really is that simple. Everything else is in place which makes not buying a cm baffling.
