But we don't need midfielders. Christ.

There are a lot of problems with this team, but had we spent competently on midfield the last couple of summers, they'd be easier to fix, and less problematic.

I get that additions to the MF in January wouldn't have been available today. But they would be Saturday, when Chelsea's going to do the same damned thing to this midfield.

Silva's not good enough. Kovacic isn't good enough. Kevin, as much as it kills me, is done and isn't good enough. And they're all still better than Gundogan.

I don't know if there's a season to save, but if we don't sign midfielders between now and the close of the window, I don't think this team finishes top 4. And we'll have a TON of work to do this summer to get in, what, three midfielders?
