Let's try to be lucid. The 2-goal lead flattered us. Their offside goal was offside by a kneecap, they had many more shots than us, they wanted it all over the pitch more than us. The result is correct. It could have been worse.

It's baffling. None of the signings we've made in January solve our most significant issue.

Have you seen our defence. Defence and midfield needed a rebuild. Half the defence are injury prone. We’ve solved one issue with that. Defence was a major issue going into this window, we have new defenders which will make us better.

Midfield should be next.
