Not overreacting at all …. I’m absolutely dreading it, this lot individually and collectively are spineless.
You are the one lacking a spine, mate! This is the season where the team needs the support and here we are pointing fingers and announcing them as spineless. Memories do fade fast!

Some of our so called supporters have become bloated and entitled by success and simply aren’t mentally equipped to deal with adversity.
They’ve had a collective meltdown on here. Entitlement is a good way of describing it. A lot of fans on here can’t deal with any adversity anymore. Even when we win it’s often ‘not good enough’.

Support can move mountains but it won't get you a top 4 finish if your players can't run for 90 mins.

Makes you wonder who they ‘supported’ pre May 2012 and I mean that 100%. I could kind of understand it if we were on a steady decline, but this is just a result of our success - a decline that was going to happen. I can’t get my head around how these so called fans were elated at the treble, on deansgate 9 months ago yet are slagging the club off now.

They are not City fans and I will forever say that I’d pay good money to see them in a room saying what they say on here to the players and manager in person. They would wilt.

Absolute fucking cowards.

I’m afraid many of them hate losing far more than they enjoy us winning. That makes them far more vocal at times like this than when things are going well.

They are unquestionably spineless cunts.

You still don't get it, do you! Yeah, kick them while they are at their lowest!

And yes, I believe that this team will achieve your quoted target of top 4 finish, just have a bit of faith in them!

You don't get it do you? I'm not kicking the club or the manager.. but I'm not happy with Txiki.

22 days in ZERO midfielders when we need at least 2.. most likely FIVE!

It depends on whether we can field a fit side. That defence in the 2nd half was a joke for a big game

You take any side in the history of football and take out players like Rodri, Stones, DIas and Walker and you will have trouble. That's why we have brought in young defenders because the existing defenders have broken down.

To be honest, I agree with the OP's assessment that we probably won't make the top four this season. With the squad in its current state and with the quality of teams like Brentford, Brighton, Fulham, Bournemouth, etc. I'm actually concerned about us finishing in the top half. But, like, we'll come again. A rebuild is badly needed but the rebuild will come. Next season will be better than this one and the one after that will likely be when we have a proper go at the title again, which would be the perfect note for Pep to end on.

I mean, fuck, Chelsea won the title in 2015, finished 10th in 2016, then won the league again in 2017. All it takes is a few new faces and a system that works for them and we're back on top of the tree again.

But more than anything, I'm just gutted that club legends like Ederson, Walker, Bernardo, De Bruyne, Gundogan, etc. haven't been allowed to bow out with a better season than this one. Instead, they've all been kept here past their best and have all gone over the hill simultaneously. It's sad to watch such amazing players, who have given us everything, struggling like mad just to stay afloat. They're being humiliated in a way that's turning fans against them and I'm not sure that's fair at all. The management of the squad has been strange.

We don't need 5 midfielders ffs that's just utterly ridiculous.

Ok you think I'm ridiculous.. but please name 1 besides Foden/ Rodri that's not leaving in the next 2 years.

KDB, Gundogan, Bernardo, Kovacic, Stones, Akanji are all leaving and we need replacements.

We have serious issues in this side, particularly in the midfield.

That being said, our competition for top 4 aren’t anything spectacular either. As bad as we have been (and we have been mighty shite for a lot of this season) we are 6 points behind Arsenal.

We are not fighting for a title here, where we have to win every week and every dropped point feels like the end of the world. Top 4 doesn’t require anything like the same consistency.

We can finish top 4…I just hope Dias injury isn’t serious because for me, he is key to it.

Both of you need your eyes checked!
Don’t be a fucking Fanny wipe. We can all see we have issues. We were never gonna win The Champions League this season. We’ve just won four Premier Leagues in a row. FUCKING FOUR! I suppose you expect a treble every season? Any City fan with half a fucking brain can see it’s a season of transition. Top 4 will do for me. The quality of the Premier League this season is shit so we have every chance.

If you can’t cope with just one season of transition then you should really question whether you have the mental and emotional capacity to cope with football. At least I only have my eyesight to worry about.

Humiliated.

Fuck off.
