As happy as i am with our buys thus far, we need a whole lot more than a few kids who might be ready for next season or the one after

we would have been charged far more, Mendes has clients going the other way in that deal
 
We need players with character and fire to be the best and an insane desire to win. We have Dias, rodri and haaland and that’s about it. We need some in the midfield.
 
Going to be a difficult few months. It’s hard enough for anyone signing mid-season, but they’re joining a new league and country and a team that is low on confidence and psychologically brittle. In such circumstances, young players are quite likely to struggle and be understandably inconsistent, but that will only add fuel to the critics who will claim we were panic buying in the window.

Guardiola would probably prefer to protect them through February, but the circumstances might force him to use them against his better judgment.

Not atall. I’m excited by them for the future but 70M spent and not one problem has been solved.

I was thinking that the other day - he'd been predominantly played as a CM before this season but has turned into a world beater.
 
Calling absolute bullshit on these vague midfielder rumours.

Names leak these days, there's been fuck all but "looking at midfielders"

Yep this is where I am at. We need an athletic no. 6 to cover Rodri injuries / rest and we need an 8 with pausa who is mobile and can go box to box and chip in in attack and another 8 who is tidy on the ball and can play in the middle but is more attack minded to pull the strings offensively imo. Obviously we will only get 1 central midfielder at the most this window but we need 3 over the next 6 months for me.
