We are just going to play the same way with same players so I don’t see how we get anything from this.

Several of our players have fully checked out & I also think pep has too

No but I’ve seen kovacic play and he has no legs.

We need aggression in the midfield, khusanov is a big gamble as a defensive midfield player but Kovacic in midfield hasn’t worked

Our midfield is weak and slow and the only one in it to cause teams a problem is Kev but he needs energy legs and aggression around him.

If all available we must throw in both Khush and Marmoush. Put a defender in midfield or even 2. Anything is better than what we have already tried this season.

Start to be stable and stop shipping goals then we can properly build. This chasing all over the pitch is not us at all. It’s a waste of time.

The plan is to ensure that we have young, talented players in the middle who can control the middle and provide energy and support. At the same time, we have 5 defenders, three in the back and two in front, to close the gaps. Of course Stones and Akanji can exchange positions and the same could be said about Savio and Mcatee.

If Diaz is available I will put him in CB and Stones next to Kovacic

Akanji/gundo/kova have not managed the DM role at all so give Rico a go

Kovacic is better further forward so if he plays fodenn wide amd kova in for mcatee plying more advanced, same for Kev if chosen

Just on Rico, he needs a strong team around him - and on form - otherwise he'll continue to be the weakest link. He is bullied off the ball far too easily and, for me, he adds nothing creatively , and is no warrior. Chelsea have some bully boys who'll stop him in his tracks every time, so I'd leave him out. Whether any other youngster is likely to get a start is highly debatable, knowing what Pep's like.
I just hope Marmoush starts; does the business, and can give us all a lift.
