He’s said Khusanov and Reis will be in the squad then in the next breath said we have 1 fit centre half (Akanji) so no idea. I hope to fuck it doesn’t mean Lewis.

I’d rather let adrenaline work for one of the new boys.

Let them channel their inner Mangala for a monster debut against Chelsea.

It’s likely to mean Gvardiol moves to centre back unless Reis/Khusanov play.

Nunes at right back is almost certain. That leaves the choice of Lewis at left back or a newbie at centre half.

Unless Nunes moves to left back and they try Khusanov at right back.

It’ll be an interesting team drop.

They're not. This is a result of continuously throwing in players significantly less than 100% fit, it's happened to them all numerous times for months now and all stems from the decision to go into the season with 6 defenders. This was always going to happen and highlights how stupid the decision was. It would be a sackable offence for anybody but pep.
 
Bit of a risk and I'm not sure Pep will go with it but I would possibly look at starting Stones and Khusanov as our cb pairing tomorrow. Neto is a pacy, tricky winger and I would n't feel comfortable playing Nunes there so I would go for Akanji at RB
 
No Dias means we cannot risk playing stones in this either, as he'll be needed for Brugge. He's got to pick a back 4 from akanji, khusanov, Reis, gvardiol,Lewis and Nunes.

Lewis, khusanov, akanji, gvardiol i'd say is the most likely with Nunes in the midfield somewhere.

Don’t think KDB can start this and the Brugge game, and I’d like to see McAtee given a start over Foden given how poor Foden was against PSG.
 
Given the Dias injury I think Khusanov simply has to start. Maybe it’s a risk but fuck it.

Ortega; Nunes Akanji Khusanov Gvardiol; O’Reilly Kovacic; Savinho Foden Marmoush; Haaland

Fill the side as best we can with pace and energy but here's the twist, We actually play at a tempo greater than walking pace and attack quickly utilising the speed we actually have upfront instead of making it redundant by halting attacks until the opposition have 11 behind the ball.
