Thank You Kyle Walker

While I don't think he will play for us again, a goodbye message when going on loan is a bit strange

Incredible for us for almost all of his time here. Pocketed the best left wingers in the world consistently. Leaving at exactly the right time for the club. Cheers Kyle.

The defensive lynchpin of Peps City, it’s not a coincidence that we’ve prioritised getting 2 lightning quick defenders to try and fill the hole he’s left and his sudden downturn in form is as much to blame for our problems this season as Rodri getting injured.

For 7 years Pep asked him to defend half the pitch on his own. Everyone else pushed up as high as possible, and when they tried to go over the top, Walker would mop up every single time.

Fans will be talking about his legendary 1v1 battles with the world’s best wingers until he’s in his 70s.

He’s the best fullback I’ve ever seen.
everytime he came up against; Vinicius JR, Mbappe, Neymar etc… he had them in his pocket.

He was a great servant to the club and hope it works out for him in Italy.

For a lad from humble beginings in Sheffield its been some story.

Off the pitch he joins the large list of manc based ballers who over the decades "struggled" with the distractions offered by what used to be termed birds and booze.

On the pitch this lad has achieved with us unparalleled success with a turn of pace and determination i doubt will be matched in my lifetime.

I hope his personal life becomes as stable and rewarding as the consistency of his efforts and success in a City shirt in all his time here.

Had some fantastic games for us, out of this world the night we played Real Madrid off the pitch in the 4-0 game been a pleasure to watch. Alas his greatest asset unbelievable pace has now left him so right time to go, Thanks and good luck for the future Kyle.

The only heavy weighted player to somehow get faster once they got into their 30s!!

Hang on, i've just watched a video of him screaming into a microphone he's staying.
Now he's leaving, FFS make your mind up!

In all seriousness, what a signing he's been.
Absolutely monstered that right back position.

Not sure he achieved legend status, but was a big big part of the success.
He will be missed!

I'm not crying, I've just got something in my eye. That night against Real Madrid at home, arguably Citys greatest ever performance and without doubt Walkers. Gave Vinicious jnr 5 yards start and took the ball off him like an adult to a toddler. I couldn't believe what i was witnessing. That's how we should remember him. An absolute fuckin baller! Good luck Kyle lad.

Top player, intrinsic to our incredible success, and moves on at the right time. I hope he and his family find peace; we have all made mistakes. Good luck, Kyle.
