Marmoush was in hot form for Frankfurt so throw him in and let him get on with it. He has to be a greater goal threat than Savinho, Bernardo, Kovacic, Grealish and Gundogan. Has there ever been a more talented and more goal-shy midfield!?
Barcelona during the whole Messi years and Madrid in the 10s i guess

I agree with your point, but if Marmoush is sensational, who knows what may happen? Dortmund reached the CL final last season without being special or very strong. It's a cup competition.
Liverpool won it when they were average at best and lost 10 league games, so who knows?
We've also outplayed RM three times, but they've won two of those and we've won one. It's a cup - who knows?

Absolutely dreading this.

I’m not in Manchester today so missing the match, going to have to watch it in a pub, hope we don’t get humiliated, can’t be arsed with smart arse fans of other clubs getting all giddy.

I'm optimistic - I think that we'll start badly, go into a bit of a slump, after which it'll be downhill all the way.
Just joking - another 4-4, Gavrdiol with assists at both ends

While I undrestand to a certain extent the financial importance of going further in the CL we have very very little chance of winning it due to the fact that we are nowhere near the standard required....

Slightly longer term, getting into the top 4 in the league is much more important financially and for the following seasons. We wont be able to attract the top players during the summer if we are not qualified for champs league and that is severely in doubt with the way we are playing at present - Chelsea are one of our direct rivals for those other top 3 positions (forget about top spot - we are nowhere near it)

For me the league is the priority - therefore full strength as much as possible - no Rico, no Gundogan and I think we will have to play one of the new centre halves at least with the injury issues (no Dias and obviously no walker)

Ortega

Nunes Akanji Khusonov Gvardiol

Kovacic Stones (if fit)
KDB
Foden Haaland Marmoush

Im not sure about throwing Marmoush in there but it may be worth it...bernardo has look knackered and Marmoush is an unknown to a little extent and could give us (and the crown who need to be up for it) a bit of a psychological bounce.
You could argue Foden being replaced by Bernardo if you want to bit more defensively or Grealish on one side if you just want to slow the game down - but that decreases creativity if Grealish is on there
That's grammatically incorrect - you can't say 'Full-strength' and 'Nunes' in the same sentence...

Agreed. Get him playing before Pep coaches any flair out of him.

Posting names and positions is almost futile. Like saying you've got a fully stocked fridge, when everything is passed its best by date or has gone off.
That's silly tbf football is 99percent confidence 1 percent skill get a few new faces to freshen things up and a couple of win s against decent opposition and everyone's buzzing again.Ok I get it we have some old legs in midfield but experienced against youth Chelsea's mid could be key.i reckon we win today and again Wednesday and everyone team and fans will have a spring back in there step.

The PSG result together with Dias’ injury to have changed everyone’s mindset coming into this one. After Sunday confidence was high but after chastening night a doom cloud has descended again.

Hopefully the injection of pace from Khusanov and Marmoush will help. Marmoush is supposedly a decent presser which should help. Key for us will be to keep Palmer quiet. No idea how we’ll set up but I doubt Stones will start.

Really need to see a big performance from KDB and Foden and make sure Haaland gets some chances. Could be entertaining, really hard to call this one.

I’m sure KDB will wave his arms around at others and look pissed then hit the first man with each corner.

Good for you. I'm jealous.
