One thing about the offsidesI like what I saw from Marmoush in his first game with us.
If we're to take full advantage of Marmoush, our midfield/defenders will need to look for his runs more often.
NItpicks against Marmoush:
* He's offside at times when he shouldn't be - his ruled out goal as an example.
* He's heads-down, not looking for options at times when driving towards goal. On one of his attacks he could have played a simple pass to Foden who had a much better scoring opportunity.
Agree, 100%.One thing about the offsides
We as a team need to learn to play the ball quicker
Same for Haaland
Hard to time your run when we hold it too long
But if the midfield do that and he times his runs better we will score loads
Exactly this - he's got something. I think it will be an adjustment from playing in a Frankfurt side where he was the one having to shoulder more to part of a better team, but he was looking so dangerous. You know when you watch someone and you know immediately that just have “it”. That’s how I felt watching marmoush yesterday. The confidence, the pace, the hunger, the desire it was all there. He looks like he belongs already and has been with the team for ages.
What said it all to me was when he took the free kick. That is some insane self belief and confidence. Look forward to seeing more from him
I don't think we will.
I think we are transitioning to a more direct style of football with the focus on getting the ball up the pitch to the front men as fast as possible.
You could see glimpses of this in yesterday's match.
I think our future transfers will reflect this.
Haaland hasn't been given a 9½ year contract for nothing.
He was the difference today
His off the ball runs and pace created space and others used it
We started playing the ball quicker and looked dangerous
When we look dangerous, that alone makes teams wary

Cheers.I think the offsides were him being eager on his debut. At Eintracht Frankfurt he was offside 6 times in 59 games, so 3 times in one game is definitely unusual. He's fast, so I'd expect just a quick word would probably suffice. It may well have happened at half time, as all three offsides were in the first half.
Pep's biggest challenge is to create more space and opportunities for Haaland and this lad will do loads for us on that front.I don't think we will.

Agreed. I heard yesterday from a blue sitting next to me the lad has only being caught offside 19 times in his whole career to date ,if that stat is right, it perhaps shows that he is an intelligent forward who times his runs to perfection. That will be an incredible new asset to our forward line. Premiership defences...you have been warned.I think the offsides were him being eager on his debut. Don't forget BobbEarly days but I’m excited by having this lad plus Doku, Savinho and Haaland as real options up front. All young players in the ascendancy. Get some midfield snap behind them and we can leave the pedestrian build-ups behind.
