Injuries 2024/25 | Ake & Bobb return to training

As a very successful team over the last few years our players have burned out. Too many matches with little recovery time the main problem, Rodri did warn us. Other issues are that we have an aging squad so injuries are harder to shake off. Pep likes to work with a small squad so rotation is less effective. Referees allow us to be manhandled and fouled repeatedly before he books one of us.(irony)
Unfortunately players like to go on international breaks.
City are not alone with these problems. Look at Spurs they can hardly field a team.
Liverpool have been building for the last few years and are now showing results. Nobody can compete with them.
Klopp has left a legacy at Liverpool, hope Pep can do the same.

Will the Dippers turn up next year or will they have another year off.

Palmer wasn't "clearly wanting to be an automatic starter at City" he wanted to be playing football not sat on the bench. He was happy to go out on loan from City to play regularly.

It was our hierarchy that made the decision we would be better off cashing in on his potential by selling him outright rather than loaning him. In hindsight it seems a error, but let's not misrepresent the truth. Palmer wasn't looking to leave the club.

He did support the rags growing up, and he was mixing with a crew who were not a good influence, but he wasn't looking to leave the club he just wanted more time playing football.
I don’t suppose the signing on fee and the wage rise he got for leave City to join Chelsea had any bearing on him wanting to leave.
