Stones clogging the midfield. Nunes a midfielder at right back. Foden on the left where he hates life. Kev thinks he should pass to his Belgian mates and Gundog...please put him out of his misery this season. Other than that it's been alright.
 
A right back and defensive midfielder might just save this season, failure to sign any will just let this season slip away and zero chance of top four
 
Not exactly going to plan so far. They're making it difficult for us with their low block and we don't really seem to have any ideas to break it down.

Not quite sure why Foden is stuck out on the left when he has been our most dangerous player and top scorer the last few weeks. It's not like we don't have other options for that position. Not a big fan of Stones pushing forward either as it means the FBs have to stay back and can't then make the forward runs to create space.

I'd be tempted to bring Grealish and Savinho on for Gundogan and KDB and let Foden play the KDB role. Drop Stones back into defence too.

All is not lost. Just need to be a bit more creative and cover better against breaks. We can still do this.
 
Poor performance from all including Pep. Not a single chance!!! All passings between the defence line!! Why? Disgusting at all levels
 
It's hard to understate how pathetic, flat, slow, lethargic we look with that group of players played in that set up.

The Brugge goal itself was pathetic from Nunes and likewise the jogging back attempt by Kovacic.

Savinho and McAtee on. 2 from 3 of Gundogan, De Bruyne and Kovacic off.

If McAtee doesn't have a future, move him on and replace him with some energy and strength.

We are weak as piss.
 
When your full backs are never aware of what's behind them, you're going to get found out.
Just one more false dawn - getting boring.
Throw the sink at them - rather go for it and lose 0-3 than a tepid half mirroring the first drudgery...
 
I'd just take Kovacic and Gundogan off and put 2 attackers on.

Neither of them are playing DM anyway so might as well.

Okay so you put jack and savio in… jack who slows stuff even more. So tell me you think it would have changed anything in the first half? Maybe I’ll give you savio but jack would stop and pass it back.. we don’t have depth anymore.

people said after Chelsea game maybe Pep wants a more direct approach with long balls etc.

well not many managers as stupid as Maresca to do high line vs City and Haaland. sit back like Brugge and most of our opponents and watch Haaland and co not even getting shots off let alone on targets one.

could be last 45 mins of CL this season coming up if we dont turn this around. 30-40m revenue out the window at last too.

Savinho needs to come on, but this was really a game to get the lead early on to dont let them sit back. we did the opposite, slow attacks, not enough firepower, and speed, and we conceded on a counter.

Pep said in presser he wont tell the weaknesses of Brugge front of press but tell them to his players. Maybe he kept it as a secret from the team too? ffs

unless its cannon fodders Bratislava or Prague we didnt beat anyone in CL. sick.
