Everyone who is/ has backed Nunes has to see this as the way of things. He is really dreadful, causes so many problems and so few gains. I think it is a tall order to win now but we will certainly be well beaten if he stays on the pitch.

Not a massive fan of the lad but being asked to play centre back is no doubt contributing?

We had two new signings that enabled us to play that way, this is different, we can’t play them or those new tactics.

Marmoush is the only guy we've got with pace who can make those runs? Maybe the tactics wouldn't be as good if that's someone else, but it would be hard for it to have been worse than what we just watched.

99% of those on this board could have told you that we were going to struggle with this lineup because we've watched it struggle all damned season. And Pep rolls it out with the same strategy in the most imporant CL game we've had this year? Whether its sentimentality or stubborness, it doesn't much look like the Pep and I am still pretty sure is the GOAT.

Nil nil at half time would have been a fair reflection of the first 45 minutes. But it’s not, so we have to change things. 2 wingers on and an early city goal is needed.

Nunes had a shocker but the rest of the defending was shite as well. Kovacic was the only one who could be arsed running back.

All season and we still can’t defend to save our lives.

You’re not wrong. It feels like we have absolutely no idea how to do the basics. We let runners go, we don’t mark tight (we hardly mark at all). Attackers just run rings around us these days. Even when we have every man back it doesn’t feel like enough.

I know the way we play leaves us vulnerable on the break but do we actually have a plan for it? Looks like we just panic.

It’s not even hard or skill. Nick the ball and surge 3-4 players forward and we have no legs to recover. Must be 30 goals conceded this year that are identical

We couldn’t have made it any easier for them if we fucking tried.

No threat from the wings, clog the middle up with four or five old players and then have just two or three players at the back when they come steaming forward (with no tracking their runs).

That Brugge manager will be sat there pinching himself.

The midfield that we have tonight is barely up to playing one match a week.Few players are upto giving 100% in back to back matches. The lack of effort to buy reinforcements for this season has meant that we have no margin for error, or injuries.
