In another word son scored from that mistake, and inter score from his mistake and he goes down as the worst signing in city history. A very lucky player who was carried. Weak as shit mentally as well. Get rid

I've said before that he's the best example I've ever seen of why mentality is so important. If you gave Dias, Akanji's physical attributes, he'd be the best defender ever. I'm a fan of Akanji, but he can't play anymore. His effort has been a disgrace.

I’ve said it for most of the season…plays like he couldn’t give a fuck. I’m am sick to fucking death of watching the opposition attacking and I can see the name on the back of his shirt. He’s a CB. The lazy fucker.

As poor, if not worse than Walker was this season, but remains a first choice despite error after error. His lacidesical attitude is a joke.

He’s flattered to deceive and rode his luck with us since arriving but he is nowhere near good enough to be a starter for us in a big game.

Decent squad player. Not someone we can depend on to do the job and take charge.

He seems to be playing hurt most this season. Our centerback pairings haven't been consistent and each new iteration features a player in some phase of injury recovery. Stones set him up poorly with that pass to start the game but I can chalk that up to Stones still playing himself into match shape. Even at a shadow of his own high standard I think we'd be far worse off if Manu wasn't willing to play hurt.

I disagree. He's been excellent for us through most of his tenure and I'm leaning towards this current run being a consequence of poor health across the entire defensive unit. Manu plays hurt and has little opportunity to get to 100% as our only heatlhy defender all season has been Josko. In a normal year he'd be given the time to properly recuperate and ramp up in less important matches. Instead the whole unit plays hurt and gets paired with players fresh from the training table. Just seems like a positive feedback loop where the input is half healthy defenders that look like shit producing more half healthy defenders that look like shit.
