So? We either win the league or we dont. We cant win every year (even if it seemed like it recently) and I have no problem with that. But I refuse to see getting Wengers "top4 trophy" as some kind of achievement because of some financial gain for the club from CL money. If we finish 4th this season it's still undoubtedly a failure, and if a failure is the best we can "achieve" this season, its just a long wait for the season to be over.

Of course finishing 4th is a failure.

Have you not seen how much the club has started penny pinching the last few summers? CL money means more investment in the squad which needs a fucking massive overhaul in the summer.
 
Despite everyone being aware midfield is the major weak point of the team at present, not 1 penny has been spent. If, when, Rodri returns it looks like he’s going to be flogged to death again and it’d be no surprise to see him breakdown again.
 
how many PL starts for Khusanov and Reis this season?
I just cannot see Pep benching the experienced defenders no matter how much they fell off a cliff.

injuries are another issue and certainly Ake and Stones cannot be trusted fitness wise for staying fit for 4/5 games in a row.
but I just cannot see the new guys getting much of a look in if Dias, Ake comes back . unless Gvardiol, Akanji, Stones all go injured at the same time.

so strange we hurried to get the defenders in also Jumah Bah, but midfield was left to last minute when new DM would walk into the side while the new CBs will have very little minutes imo this season. onne of Khusanov or Ries my start 3/4PL games by end of season, the other even less.

This is a transition season, keep the faith.

Oh yes and Fuck Arsenal, what an unlikable set of slights above average bunch of players.

They don't have our long term vision and quality behind the scenes.

We really need to get some players in who have something about them. More Dias, Rodri and less akanji, kovacic.

All well and good getting carried when all is going well but no where to be seen when going gets tough
 
Who do we blame for this ( thus far) pretty 'meh' transfer window ?
Txiki or the new guy or both ? ha
