pep is out to kill this man, will bring him back before he's ready and cause a career ender

When Rodri got injured against arsenal was the injury already there to an extent or was it that collision that did it ?

I wouldn’t rush him back. Give him the season off. Rest his knee. And get him fit for the world club tournament in America,

No, it's not a type of injury to be caused by gradual degradation, you go from fine to knackered in a twist. It's true to say fatigue increases the chance of injury but it's not something you could ever have any control over.

Rodri won't be recognized as the best City player ever, but the reality is that nobody could elevate the performances of the team like him. It's no coincidence that he has been the only City player who has won best player of the competition in the CL, the Euros and other international competitions. Best in the world.

I'd say maybe only prime Yaya and KDB but agree with this.

Both, KDB especially, were exceptional in their prime. But Rodri can influence our game more than them.

Last season, Rodri had over 20 goal involvements from open play. If you put him in more attacking positions, he will deliver 30 goals/assists (without taking pens, free kicks, etc.!). That would be about 3/4 of what KDB delivers in his best seasons.

By comparison, if you play KDB at DM, he would do about 2/3 of Rodri's work in the build up (he isn't as press resistant and can't complete so many passes, not his game) and 1/3 in defence.

It's because KDB is a genius at completing incredible passes and Rodri doesn't seem to be a genius at doing anything specific that KDB looks the more special player. But Rodri is being very good in every part of the pitch: both defensively and offensively, linking everything together. This is something extraordinary in its own right: less exciting to watch but more important to the team.

Please god he comes back safe and sound and as magnificent as he was before the injury. Has anyone ever won the Ballon D'Or before as a defensive midfielder?

I'll be happy when he wins our player of the year award

Sammer in 96. Maybe Matthues in 90 but he was more a box to box
