Nine days ago I sent this email off to the board at The Moston Rag Socks - can't believe after 9 day's they haven't given me the courtesy of a reply!
Question for the board,
I see once again our board members are appealing for fans to continue to dig deep to aid the 'Missing Games' fund and once more issue the statement that our club is not 'bankrolled by big money or wealthy owners - it's powered by us.'
How long are we going to kid ourselves that this is the case?
We may not have a wealthy individual benefactor bankrolling the club, but we have to also ask ourselves how many other clubs in our league and above have external funding via their local Council to the extent we have had?
If it wasn't for the MCC funding, then FC would have folded by now. I just think we should be more honest and open with all of our fans and on club statements and stop the pretence that it is solely down to the extremely hard work of a small number of our fans that our club is still functioning.
I was at the game on Saturday v Blyth Spartans and dug deep once again putting money into the bucket and will continue to do so. Let's hope that soon the club's fortunes will improve greatly both on and off the field and the club will continue to move forward in a positive light.
Yours sincerely
