Forget company cars think of those that you have paid for with your own money.

In the early 80's i had an Uno 45 - imported via Ireland from a company who went bust a few months later phew - but it had head rests and a RWW that the UK model didn't have - in the early 90's I had a SEAT Marbella ( Panda mk 1 with the cart sprung beam axle that will forever have a place in my heart for personal reasons) but my best is the the 205 GE 954cc Bobby basic - wind up windows, bicycle tyres, no headrests no radio it all depended on keeping up momentum - a roundabout in third gear with the roll and the exit made you feel like Schumacher

Alfa GTV 1998.Had it 24 years.I run it April 1 to end October.Had it in a few car shows.Never ever gone wrong.Like a kid as April arrives.

1995 Volvo 960. My boy's probably still out there somewhere, running like the wind.

I've never been into cars myself. I'm a biker, so every car I've owned has been boring in comparison, but i did have an Audi Quattro many years ago.

It was OK, in the way cars are, was quite sprightly to drive, and is by far the best car I've owned, but it never gave me the same feel good factor riding a bike has given me over the years.

I bought mundane vehicles after that aberration. I didn't see the point of spending a lot of money on any car that wouldn't excite me with performance far below the thrill levels being on two wheels brought me.

I bought a V70 D5 in 2003 that had been pre registered with 72 miles on the clock. Full retail £27k. I got it for £22k
It was a fabulous family and work car and after 5 years and 150k miles I sold it
At Christmas I looked at the DVLA website, threw in some of my old cars registrations to see if they had mot's and the volvo was still running
However in one year it lost 80,000 miles
From memory, one year it passed its MOT with 220k on the clock. The year after, it was 140k

Sound legit.

Best car in terms of quality was probably my Audi SQ5 or Volvo XC60 plug-in hybrid.

My favourite car though was my Škoda Yeti. I loved that thing and was gutted when Škoda stopped making them. The Karoq was never as appealing.

Peugeout 307. Did 300,000 miles comfortably. only gave it up cos other non-engine faults became to expensive to keep fixing. Absolute warhorse that car.

I had 2 Escort RS Turbos, Mk1 (1985) and a Mk2 (1990)

Sold em when kids came along, wish I had kept them now, go for stupid money.

I've had a Mini (one of the proper ones), a Chevette, Citroen Visa, Peugeot 104, 106 (twice), 205, 306, Flying Fiat Flea 126, a Citroen Berlingo, and Peugeot Partners. But the one that never gave a gram of grief was a 1970 sky blue Skoda. I think it was part Czech tank.

I've had lots of cars down the years, Golfs, Alfas and Land Rovers. But you always miss your first car.

I had one of these below. Drove it to V festival with pals, as the cars entered the festival grounds, the police had this layby with a tent and sniffer dogs. They took one look at my car and waved us straight into the tent. Had to empty the entire car while they checked it for drugs. It was your typical drug dealers car in the 90's

I bought a Prius 6 years ago for 2500 and have put on 130k miles in that time, it's currently on 303k. Ultra reliable and is still worth what I paid for it. I value reliability above everything else when it comes to a car and you can't beat Toyota in that respect.
