Sounds like it. There isn't any rush to get him over here, might as well do it there.

What number would he be taking? Obviously no 16/17, but he has used 14 before. Maybe 21 or 12 too.

I understand this caution but there is another way of looking at it. This season is as good as finished for us unless we somehow pull a miracle off in the champions league. The fa cup is a possibility if the draw is kind and our form and injuries improve. We only have to win five more games to win that. Perhaps the club are getting our targets in early to bed them in before next season?
