We just don’t have the players to risk over top 5 plus we ain’t winning fa cup
Wigan won it, so anythings possible. Granted it would take some kind draws, plus speedy hitting the ground running and no more injuries. Unlikely but not impossible!!

Play a half & half team, with new boys starting. If Nico has done OK, and we are winning, get him off 45-60 mins and let him rest up.

Let’s hope they’re not going to try to clog us off the park!

Ortega

Reis
Khusanov
Akanji
Lewis

Bobb
Gundo
Speedy
Grealish

Marmoush
McAtee

why are people trying to shoehorn Khushanov or Reis in at right back? they are CBs, let's not fuck them about trying to change them

He's really young, bit i've been impressed by Reis attitude, words and determination since he arrived .... he's always has a smile on his face, has trained really well and has already made an impression on Pep, and players, he has sworn to give everything he has for City on the pitch, he WANTS to play for us, and I like to hear words and see an attitude like that, and especially from younger players, who i hope will enjoy and cherish many happy years at City ...... i never once heard words, or saw an attitude like that, from the likes of Jadon Sancho when he was here ....... i think this lad is desperate to become a regular first teamer here, and i'm sure he's gonna make a big impression over time, whether that's at CB, or FB.

His name is pronounced 'Heis' or 'Hees' by the way .... The R' is silent ..... according to a chap named Fernandinho!

If Dias and Stones are fit, I'd rest Akanji who is likely to play at RB vs Vin. Jr.

Its probably because we have several CBs and barely any RBs (or LBs).
but we have Lewis a right back (if apep ever lets him play there) stones and akanji who have played RB, lets utilise them over messing the new lads about

We need to be asking players where they will be most comfortable (and most effective) playing, and do our absolute level best to accomodate that .... only then will we see the best of them.

Sure Lewis could play RB but then who plays LB? Someone is going to have to play out of position.
It's Leyton Orient. Main focus is to just win and then Real Madrid. Who cares if anyone plays out of position against League 1 opposition, just start the players that wont be starting in CL a few days later in whatever position that is available.

Well, the poster was arguing we shouldn't play players out of position.

We can't rest all senior defenders. Dias may play 45 minutes if he is fit enough. If he can't play vs LO, maybe he won't play vs Real either.

Btw, O'Reilly played at LB vs Salford.

Only 2 days rest between this one and Real Madrid. Need to rest a few players

Ederson
Lewis Reis Khusanov O’Reilly
McAtee Gonzalez Gundo
Bobb Marmoush Grealish

Gonzalez and Marmoush subbed off after 60 or so
Like that team, although might have preferred O’Reilly in midfield, but I guess he would be given licence to push forward.

Not sure what your point is. Yes, O'Reilly played out of position against Salford and might do it again. Which is what I said, someone is likely going to have to play out of position.
