Keep KDB rested for Madrid
Keep KDB rested for Madrid
because the FA cup is our most realistic trophy this season, so don't discard it.Play the kids so we have fresh legs and no new injurys on tuesday, Real playing a title decider against Atletico on Saturday so they will be bruised and tired when they arrive to Eastlands.
Would be good not to have to risk Stones. But I’d be reluctant to throw Reis and Khusanov in together at this stage (with Lewis and O’Reilly either side of them).Reis for Stones and this would probably be my XI
I like that team.—————-——-Ederson———
Lewis—Khusanov—Stones—O’Reilly
———-Gonzalez—Gundogan—-
McAtee———-De Bruyne——Grealish
————————Marmoush———-
exact team id go with too
Completely forgot about Oscar Bobb, if he is fit he will surely get some minutes on Saturday.Ortega
Lewis
Khushanov
Reis
O'Reilly
Grealish
Gonzalez
McAtee
Bobb
Savio
Marmoush
That's probably what I'd got for with Bobb for KDB 2nd Half if fit enough.

If Ederson is fit i'd play him, to get his eye in before RMRest all the players who will start against Real. Ortega, Lewis, Khusanov, Reis, ?, Gundogan, O'reilly, Mcatee, Bobb, Grealish, Marmoush. Can't think of anybody for left back and one of Marmoush or Haaland has to play unfortunately
Yeah i couldn’t agree more. Having spent their first few days in England doing their best to familiarise themselves with our complex and scientific style of play, for these lads to be suddenly plunged into a world of hoofing balls upfield and elbows and crunching challenges on a rubbish pitch would be unfair on them.It will be a massive mistake to play Reis and Khusanov in this game in my opinion...you need experienced heads in the spine at least in a game like this...at home they would have been fine, but away is asking for trouble...you know they will go for big throws, corners, lumping it into the box, not the kind of game to bed in players who don't know the english game
Worse teams have won the CL than the FA Cup? Why not?
Look at the clubs who have won it over the decades. Were they the best in the country? Were they even close to it? We're not winning the league. That's settled. We're not winning the CL. I'd say that's pretty much settled. With a benign run, we could win the F.A. Cup. Personally, having missed out on ’69 (too young to be present), having been present at ’81 (first match), and at 2019 and at 2023 (a shining moment in all my years of following City), I'm still excited by the prospect of being at Wembley to lift it again. We should go for it with everything we've got.
Stones will get bullied physically, he should be saved for the more technical Madrid gameIt will be a massive mistake to play Reis and Khusanov in this game in my opinion...you need experienced heads in the spine at least in a game like this...at home they would have been fine, but away is asking for trouble...you know they will go for big throws, corners, lumping it into the box, not the kind of game to bed in players who don't know the english game
I don't. The kids should be able to take care of Orient. Even though I love the FA Cup, if we go out of the CL this month, the season is more or less over. That's how spoiled I've become. Funny, because it wasn’t long ago that I thought I could die happy if I got to see us play at Wembley just once."because the FA cup is our most realistic trophy this season, so don't discard it.
