The Labour Government

The only surprise is that anyone would believe a word they say.

How gullible do you have to be?

It's a cult with most Labour voters. They're literally giving away UK territory and paying another country the initial reported cost of 40 British hospitals according to some reports, and they've still got cheerleaders for it. It's the kind of treaty you'd sign after losing a horrific war, not after an advisory verdict from an abstract court with no power or jurisdiction.

The funny thing is, if Keir Starmer turned round tomorrow and said it was a bad deal, they'd say it was a bad deal as well!

Imagine having a strong opinion on a group of islands that no one had heard of a year ago, without knowing what their strategic defensive purpose is.

Still, you’ve moved on from grooming gangs.

Wonder what next month’s bandwagon will be?

I think you're speaking for yourself if you've not heard of them but whether you've heard of it or not, the point is you don't pay another country to take British territory, especially to the tune of billions of pounds. It's not 'well if I've not heard of it then we'll pay someone else to have it', no-one in their right mind should think like that.

Yeah, I’ve read your take on it. However many times you repeat it, you’ll stop when the next bandwagon starts rolling.

He dances to someone else's tune...

Not sure that’s fair. He’s a free thinker who uses all sources to come to his conclusions.

The fact that they’re the same as Farage and at the same time is surely coincidental.

I just had a quick gander at the Tory thread to see if these Islands were a big deal when the previous government were negotiating a deal, but can’t seem to find any post from him on the subject.

Yeah, I will. That's what normal people do, they move on. That's why the forum's mainly people talking about current events and very little about what happened in 1993 or 1822. It doesn't mean they'll forget it but it'll just be another reason why far fewer people will vote for them next election than they did this one.

I don’t think the handling of the Chagos Islands will be in anyone’s thinking as they walk into their voting station in 2029.

You could give France £20Billion to occupy Wales and it wouldn't stop some people voting Labour. Like I said, for a lot of their voters, it's a cult and they vote for them because they're not the Tories or because their Dad did etc etc...

But for some people, if they've had the building of their local hospital cancelled (sorry 'delayed') or their taxes have risen or benefits cut to pay out billions to Mauritius then they might have longer memories than you think.

The B of E have downgraded their growth forecast for the UK for 2025 from 1.5% to 0.75%. Im not a fan of Andrew Bailey who consistently gets his forecast wrong. So lets hope he lives up to his reputation and gets this one wrong aswell, as the PMs and Chancellors target is for growth of 2.5% per annum, currently we have had no growth under the new government.

Indeed, but the argument that if X doesn’t happen then Y can is simplistic in the extreme.

I would think that 0.75% is much more likely than 1.5%.

In the five months since the election, annualised growth is running at -0.1% versus 1.5% in the five months prior. That’s quite an achievement, and all because they tried to be clever in publishing a fictional, ‘fully costed’ manifesto which had no relation to what they actually had planned on tax, which then required a prolonged onslaught on economic confidence in order to provide cover for what they had intended to do all along.

It’s not just amateurish, it’s reckless.

lol

Careful, you will be called a wum or a bad faith poster, some will even tell you they will ignore you from now on (even though they won’t) and you will most likely get called a few silly names.

Meanwhile, Council tax bills are set to soar far in excess of inflation and Starmer and his cabinets lies to the electorate.

All part and parcel of the fully costed manifesto for growth that will super charge the British economy.

It will, honest it will…

Its the black hole innit, plus after a quick search you didn't mention council tax on the 6/2/1986 so why are you bothered now?

Plus other politicians have done other bad stuff previously like. Our liar is not as bad as your liar.

Farage, gammon,fascist wum.

I think that's how it works.
