I do recall he had a strange sort of charisma though. Something I can’t quite put my finger on.
Mate, he was fucking wank.

I’ll do it but they ( or anyone else ) wouldn’t want a fat ugly Indian bloke on their screens .

I expect Scruffy Jim is a good businessman... he's made a shit load of money with Ineos anyway. That doesn't necessarily mean he'll be any good at running a football club though. That is a very different business. Hopefully. Was listening to a bit of talksport this morning the white and Jordan show, got round to talking about guess who the rags, anyhow white mentioned some crap about project 21,brailsford’s idea about building up and preparing for the 21st title win,Jordan calls brailsford a bluffer but ratcliffe is a good businessman, switched it off after that but I’ll agree with Jordan’s first point he’s a bluffer all right..
Oh was that you next to me in theSpot on Colin. You won’t know this but I’ve actually spoken to you in a work context and been in the same office as you at the same time. Good to know you’re still fighting the cause ;).
It takes a bluffer to spot a bluffer and Jordan is a classic bluffer. He has built a media career on bluffing.
I can’t make my mind up on Ratcliffe. I heard he was a good operator but he has made some real blunders at the Rags so far. However to get political momentum behind their stadium site proposals is a clever move if only for PR purposes. I would not underestimate him though and I suspect Khaldoon takes him seriously.I expect Scruffy Jim is a good businessman... he's made a shit load of money with Ineos anyway. I suspect and hope you are correct. It looks like Ratcliffe has been stitched up by the Glazers. Happy days.Well I can provide some help/
Ratcliffe in 2017 took over the Swiss team Lausuane who were a team that bounced around a bit. They were immediately relegated and have bounced around ever since.
Ratcliffe in 2019 took over Nice. Nice for the previous decade or so have finished between 5th and 10th in the French leagues. Under Ratcliffe they finished between 5th and 10th every year.
Ratcliffe in 2024 bought Man United. They were a team who had become upper midtable and were struggling a bit. Under Ratcliffe they are upper midtable and struggling a bit.
Absolutely correct, Scruffy Jim pumped £1.25 billion into the club for a 28.94% stake and penny pinches off the lowest paid employees that he hasn't already made redundant and the Glazers still have majority ownership and control. The clown has been stitched up like a kipper.I suspect and hope you are correct. It looks like Ratcliffe has been stitched up by the Glazers. Happy days.
Hmmm seems to be a pattern there hope it continues..Well I can provide some help/

Kevin Costner wouldn't be heard saying "if you build it they will come" over there anytime soon.Talkshite just described the swamp as the field of dreams…hilarious
And he fucked up his cycling team as wellWell I can provide some help/

That does sound like a hell of a problem. Maybe putting names on tickets and then making a percentage of them collect in person might help?Interesting to listen to the Vice chair of Chelsea Supporters Trust on Talkshite today.
His main point was the widescale buying of tickets through valid memberships, and touting them through websites at fantastic profit.
These gangs are organised and work throughout the Premier Lesgue. The Police are aware and trying to formulate a response. Clubs are aware but struggle to identify the touts.
Arsenal to their credit have cancelled up to 20,000 members registrations in an effort to combat these touts.
I know on here most just blame the club, when organise criminal gangs are the real issue.
He did also criticise Boehly.
I thought Ratcliffe was a business genius?I suspect and hope you are correct. It looks like Ratcliffe has been stitched up by the Glazers. Happy days.
I'm just surprised Arsenal haven't put forward the idea of a 3rd place play-off game v Spurs for the Carabao Cup so their over-excited fans can cling on to the chance of seeing some tin pot silverware. That was a fantastic day out. Even the drive down (my dad driving not me) was great, meeting the geordies at the services.
A 3rd/4th place play off between the 2 Narf Landan clubs in the Carabao Cup could well take off with their fans.I'm just surprised Arsenal haven't put forward the idea of a 3rd place play-off game v Spurs for the Carabao Cup so their over-excited fans can cling on to the chance of seeing some tin pot silverware.
Call it the North London Cup Forever, modelled on a golden milk bottle.
