City launch legal action against the Premier League | Club & PL reach settlement | Proceedings dropped (p1147)

Had a bit of an argument with a mate of a friend in the pub tonight who couldn't wait to bring up 115 in a general football conversation. He just pissed me off with his "you must be guilty as there are so many charges". " All the pundits think you are guilty so you must be" I immediately asked him what the charges were, silence, then I told him about the witch hunt. No dispute. After a more easy conversation i felt better, but this is what we are up against. Media ill informed sheep.

If they were to find us guilty on any of the important charges, then a substantial points deduction is virtually inevitable.
If we're found guilty on the important charges then it's prison time for club officials and the staff of major global accountancy firms - conspiracy to commit fraud on a vast scale, a criminal offence. Personally I doubt that is happening.

It a 20 team league. The rules have been voted for by a super majority of 14. I don't understand how the league can function if every club took it upon themselves to sue if they were one of the 6 whose vote went the rong way.

Where does it end?

I'm guessing if the rules are not legal they can be challenged regardless of how many think they are right?

You can’t just vote in rules that are illegal…

Hence the legal action (again)

Where does it end?
When the laws external to the PL are followed. The PL can’t be a law unto itself, by favoritism, stopping some commercialization while promoting others, etc, etc, etc.

What is “fair”?
How long is a piece of string?

Some things need to be answered in a way that doesn’t run afoul of business laws in place.

The PL rules and regulations have to comply with UK law, City believe the new APT rules do not and are seeking a verdict from the independent panel. What's the problem?

If a majority voted to fuck Arsenal out of the league for being time wasting, small time, bottling cunts would that be fair?

Majority rule and all that
