We're not going to win the Chumps League so I hope he puts our beat team out today. He won't but realistically we could win the FA Cup, qualify for the chumps league next year and, with Rhodders back, have a good go at the club world cup in the summer. That's where our priorities should be.
Pep WILL take this Champions League chance seriously, he WILL definitely want to win that trophy again, even though Real Madrid are tough opponents and have the pedigree to go all the way again ....... so i can see him being understandably 'cautious' with his team selection for the Orient cup tie, even though the FA Cup is probably our best chance of winning a trophy this season ..... providing we don't do anything stupid today, we should have enough about us to win at Orient, no matter which side Pep puts out.

I agree, he won't do it. ......but does anyone on here really think winning the chumps league is a real possibility this season?

Yes. Not likely but definitely possible. Let’s get everyone fit (apart from Rodders) and the new players integrated and then who knows. Hopefully Athletico injure a few more of them tonight. Our defence is a lot better with Ruben in it, our midfield should be a lot better with Gonzales in it. Rodri back if we get in the semis/final?

Given our form, this may not be a comfortable watch. In fact we might need to survive an early scare and typically giddy media reaction, before bringing the grown ups on to close it and give them a run out ahead of Tuesday

pretty likely Pep picks a weaker team today-Leyton's odds at betfair have dropped dramatically this morning (30 into 15.5) along with the draw (13 into 8.6) with City drifting 1.13 out to 1.23..

Hopefully we can avoid gifting them a goal within two minutes this week. Might make things a bit easier for ourselves.

Would like to see Bobb get a few minutes today, but things seem to have gone a bit quiet on this front.
