The problem is that so many people will believe his lies. We saw it here with so much of the Brexit bullshit; people read the headlines but not the underlying stories.
Trump signs an executive order, the media cover it, and the punters rejoice. The fact that implementation is virtually impossible is ignored by those too stupid to understand the world isn't as simple as the playground bully makes it out to be.

It's not as if he has hidden who he is. He's just the latest megalomaniac who's doing what megalomaniacs do.
He's got plenty of support across the world and he'll look to spread his power. I'll just assume that they want to kill anyone they don't like and not assume I'm safe. The anger, bitterness malice and bloodlust of his supporters is obvious.

Signing a load of bits of paper that will later be slapped down by every judge with a brain is not “getting on with it”. Neither is threatening to implement tariffs and then rowing back on pretty much all of them.

Robust laws that represent actual change and actually getting things done are passed through Congressional process. It is hard and often requires compromise. It needs to operate within a framework that will allow it to stand the test of time.

It is absolutely fucking crazy to me that people continue to think the person who shouts loudest and behaves the most obnoxiously is the one who is ‘getting things done’…. We are such stupid animals.
