NFL 2024-25

So in the world of AM who is it corrupt for? Who will Fletch be struggling to hide his glee for when they are getting beat? Who will Neville be directing VAR to help?
Asking for a friend.
Chiefs have dominated over recent years very much like city if you want a football comparison. However I prefer to think of them more like a 90's united than us, they've got the matching arrogance and are easy to dislike. Mahomes is like the Ronaldo, undoubtedly exceptional but it's nothing but constant rimming, kelce is the beckham with his off field antics getting as much attention.

Hard to associate anything from Kansas with arrogance or domination for that matter.

News coverage?
It hardly gets any in the UK.

I’d say 1% of the UK has heard of Tom Brady. Actually prob 5% now he owns Birmingham.
With the possible exception of Haaland, I'd say Tom Brady is more well known worldwide than any of our footballers.
Just the same as I doubt 1% of Americans could name an English cricketer or rugby player.
Sport is universal

No offence but I still think it's a minor sport. Yet I've heard both the BBC and ITV the last few days refer to it bizarrely as the worlds biggest sporting event??!!
It's still relatively minor but the strides its made over the last decade is noteworthy, its definitely getting a lot bigger and they're doing a lot to promote and push it.

That's just them rehashing the yanks with remarks like that. We all know how they have little to no awareness of anything happening outside of America. these are the guys that call themselves world champions in competitions involving only yank teams.

Barbecue. Wheat fields. Tornadoes.

In all three they are top four though, not necessarily champions.

Also, Kansas City is actually (mostly) in Missouri.

And Missouri leads the nation in nothing except perhaps stagnant pools of water.

In the UK do you lot see all the same adverts we do during this broadcast given that 37% of the post-game ink spilled on this will be about them and not the football?
No. We will get our own standard adverts at fairly normal tv intervals but in general when you guys go to quick ads our coverage goes back to the studio usually for analysis.

I think as an annual event it is, both tv viewing wise and financially.
The world cup final has a bigger viewing audience but that is only every 4 years.

Managed till midnight, can't do anymore

Final straw was an American ad with Jim's dad from American Pie in it. How the fuck do the Yanks put up with so many ads?

TBF the Super Bowl has more than the average game (I think). But the 3.5 hours to watch 1 hour is why I basically stopped following the sport 20 years ago. I still watch the periodic game and have a mountain of laundry to fold now so have it on.
