NFL 2024-25

I don't really know NFL - maybe Mahomes is a nice guy, I don't know... but there's something satisfying about seeing him get sacked twice and then throw an interception that gets returned for a touchdown. He just seems a bit raggy.

It's like Ronaldo missing a penalty in the World Cup final.
IMO Mahomes isn’t close to the egocentrist Ronaldo is. Seems pretty all right to me. Lots of QBs have been way more annoying over the years.

And there's the most infuriating thing in American football. Celebrating like that when you're getting smashed. It's the equivalent of getting beat 8-0, you score to make it 8-1 and do a backflip in celebration. Be more like Erling and get on with it.

Fair enough - still going to back Philly just because I'm a big fan of the cheesesteaks. Oh, and Ozark taught me that KC is full of wrong'uns.

Seems as good a reason as any.
My wife’s from Philly. Note she lives with me, here, and has for 34 years :)

I’ve been to the 50 largest cities in the U.S. except for Cincinnati and Norfolk. I wouldn’t put either KC or Philly in the top 25 of my faves. Some of the Philly suburbs are nice though.

Harvey Elliott having a really rough day.

Gives away the penalty that knocks the scousers out and now getting sacked and giving up interceptions in New Orleans.

I’ve written about that before — it’s one of the things that has totally turned me off to the sport. Give me a spike after a touchdown and celebrating a win — otherwise, calm down and get on with it!
