Just for shits & giggles, and context.

Our fixture list February 1999:

Millwall (H)
Bournemouth (A)
Macclesfield (H)
Chesterfield (A)

Home wins against Millwall & Macclesfield, with two plucky away draws at Bournemouth & Chesterfield, left us at the dizzying height of 6th in the 3rd Division.

26 years later, on the back of a domestic treble, the real treble, winning the Chimps League, the CWC, 100 points & 4-in-a-row, we're gutted about not making the Top 8 in the Chimps League and fretting about line-ups for a hum-dinger against Real Madrid.

A Real Madrid team who deem CITY as their most feared team in Europe.

So, enjoy boys and girls...because 26 years ago we were preparing for the mighty Macc coming to town.

Up the fucking Blues.

I don't think Akanji is our best option at RB. He may be experienced but he's too slow to handle Vinicius. I'd gamble on Khusanov because he has pace and physically plus he thinks fast and good at tackling. It's whether he can handle the pressure of such a big game, or not.
It’s a big gamble to stick him out of position in such a good game after his debut against Chelsea. That said he’d be my 2nd choice. Akanji is our quickest defender out of the rest of them.

If Akanji is our quickest defender then we are fucked.

I really don't feel like that this time. I have zero expectations for this game. Even if we manage to get past Madrid by some miracle, there's absolutely no chance of us winning the competition.

In previous years when I'd get nervous, it was because we were the best team in the competition and it would have driven me mad in decades to come if we hadn't clinched the trophy during this era.
Teams in poor form have won it in the past...chavs x2 ...little woods!!

It's a home game in front of a passionate crowd who will cheer the rafters down when he puts bratboy in row 8 !!

I'll have some of that! Vini will shit himself first time Khusanov clatters into him but he'll have to make clean challenges because Vini will go down writhing around like he's been shot.

Am predicting five goals in tomorrow's match. Unfortunately I've no idea which result. Hearts saying 3-2 City win. Heads saying 3-2 Madrid. 4-1 either way wouldn't surprise me either way.
To many bets to cover so no correct score bets for me tomorrow night. CTID
