There is plenty of pushback. There are over twenty cases before the courts at the moment. Trump is losing them all.

Although it's very rare, that a Prime Minister in the UK (or any Western democracy) would be cheered, there are still plenty of idiots folk that whoop and cheer the royal family.

Yes ,but they aren’t elected politicians. Nor seen to have any power over the lives of those cheering,who see them as just figure heads. So no really the same thing.

"Ohhhhh Jeremy Corbyn" is about the closest I can remember to it over here. Personally, I thought that was cringeworthy as fuck and not because I don't like the bloke. I went to see Radiohead at LCCC in the summer of 2017 and even Thom Yorke was at it ffs!

I don't think as much a deal is being made of the plastic straw thing as it should be.

This should be a very big deal as,
One: It shows his total ignorance of the environmental impact plastic is having on the world.
Two: He really does not give a fuck about anything unless it directly affects him. On a whim, most probably when he was stuffing his face with a macdonalds, he has signed an order that will cause untold damages to the world.
