Grealish is playing for a reason tonight. 6 of their team are a yellow card away from suspension & he draws in the fouls.
Fully expect Gvardiol to get up & support grealish to give him options.

most experienced team we could pick, just will we be quite slow build up in attack bar Savio.

lots of Gvardiol up high and high balls in for Haaland hopefully

Let's be totally fucking open and honest here. We've been wank this season. We can't keep a clean sheet. The cold hard reality is that Real are likely to pump us home and away.

So, the manager has gone with people he's trusted in big games gone by. It might go wrong, but regardless of 51.2% of people on here saying we'll win, in reality it would be good to still be in it before the second leg.

It's a hard reality given what we've seen over the last 4 years, but that's football.

Let's all get behind the team for an 1-1....

With the lineup think Pep is going for a positive home result in 1st leg and will then defend furiously in Madrid in 2nd leg.

Feel like people are making too much of Grealish’s ability to win yellow cards. Three of the six Madrid players at the risk of suspension aren’t playing, and the other three will be given a lot of leeway by the ref I imagine.

Worth noting City have a good record in Madrid, last five away at this lot won 2 draw 2 lost 1 and the one defeat should have been a win.

he's played 3 days ago and was MOTM!
He had a nice little confidence boost (I thought he ran the show) and when you see what sort of person he is you just know that Grealish thrives on that shit. It's all in his head. He's capable of running it tonight if he plays on the front foot, hope he's now got the balls to go at Real like he went at Leyton Orient.
