And it's not just Marmoush that needs to adjust - it's everyone behind him. Players need to look for his runs and pass the ball over the line when he's made a good run.
 
There are just few players in our recent history who are able to follow that incredible amount of runs behind defence coming from Haaland and Marmoush

Yet, Grealish managed to pick out KDB’s run. KDB had been on the pitch on seven minutes. Haaland has been making these runs week in and week out, so has Marmoush in a couple of matches. Grealish needs to be in the middle and be allowed to pick out these passes because no one else can make them other than KDB himself.

Alvarez wanted to leave for 2 seasons.. so no point comparing him to someone that didn't want to be here.

It's the whole Dzeko thing again.. we loved him but he wanted to leave.
 
hope he gets a goal or assist soon and that gives him the momentum to continue with end product.
he came with incredible G+A from Frankfurt we will just need him to help us somewhat similar way. not doing that would be really not good with top4 at stake.

should have got more than 10 mins vs Real.

Down to Pep to integrate him into the team now properly, and stop relying on his old guard to win matches
 
A lot were expecting too much when they wanted a few signings in January. He still needs time to fully adapt and Real Madrid game was too soon to start. Same with Khusanov.
 
17 league games in Frankfurt this season with 15G + 9A (plus further 5 goals and 4 assists in German cup and EL games)

imagine we get to end of May and he still hasnt scored or assisted goal. we turn him into Grealish level of end product from those sick Frankfurt numbers lol

it did wonders for Savinho too when he struggled to score for long weeks then he broke the bad spell and started deliver end product for a few games in a row earning him big respect from Pep.

hope he starts vs Newcastle and gets the end product and then keeps going, he wasnt too far from it vs Chelsea or Orient...

With Frankfurt he reached this numbers playing CF in counter attacking team


With City its different position & style
 
Will be interesting to see how he goes for the rest of the season

The eye test says he’s got a poor first touch and isn’t really a player that can beat a man from a standing start

What he looks to be good at is off the ball movement and running in behind , he also looks to be good running at defenders in transition

The problem he will have is that if hes going to play left wing, he’s going to be isolated when we play against packed defences

The plan must be to play him closer to Haaland , kind of like how KDB is playing at the moment
 
It looked like Kev was playing alongside Haaland and i thought right, if thats what Pep wants then lets get Marmoush on and play him there. Marmoush comes on and is shunted out on the wing for some reason.

Alvarez was only with us for 2 seasons.
 
I really dont like that he's only been here a month and this thread is mainly posters finding every excuse under the sun for why his own level of ability has been subpar. doesn't bode well
