Mistake, After Mistake, After mistake! Why Can't We See Games Out?

I'm not so sure Nico would've started anyway, Pep would've thought he wasn't ready and benched him.
So what we are saying is we have a manager who puts an unfit player on the bench?

Why?

He compounds it by bringing a player on who the majority can see is no longer up to the job

Real have, in my opinion, the strongest front 4 in the sport. They are going to be dangerous, and it should be expected that they will score late goals, particularly against us.

They made us look slow today. Why? We are old, and they are young and fast. Our middle needs shoring up. Need to get rid of the older, slower midfield and look at some speed and skill.

Mate I'm with you, I'm also saying he should've played at least some minutes when he was on the bench.

Real Madrid can string passes together up front. They make the pitch look massive.

We tippy tippy to death and the pitch looks tiny.

Our style of play is negative and has sucked the joy from our attacking players. Look at Haaland's expression most of the time. IMO he looks highly frustrated that no one feeds his runs.

Pep shows no signs of fixing it. I don't even know if he sees the problem.

As an aside I was thinking of Stephen Ireland and Robinho today. Amazing volleys, great skills, etc, etc. Or think of Aguero with Silva. Amazing through balls and incredible strikes. Where is this magic now? Our goals are mediocre in general. I think it's because our style of play is too lazy and negative. I think we need a new approach ... but I can't see Pep doing anything but the same old same old.

Slow rubbish as I call it.

Old knackered players that can’t run or perform for 90 minutes.
Tactics that don’t suit old knackered players that can’t run or perform for 90 minutes.
Then everyone else is mentally and physically exhausted after pushing year after year to win the lot, including Pep.
It Is what it is.
There was always gonna be a drop off, unfortunately the drop off is far bigger than anyone imagined.
I’m not annoyed by tonight as such cos it was expected.
If we still get past Madrid we’re still not winning it.
There’s far too many mistakes in this team.
This is gonna be a slow painful fix.
This season is about getting top 4 and beating 115.
The latter looking more likely at the minute and the most important.
Missing out on top 4 will be a setback, getting done on 115 will be disastrous.
Buckle up cos there’s more of these performances to come.

Yep, the players we have aren’t suddenly going to become much better nor is pep going to change so this is something we have to accept. Possible improvements can come if we can keep stones/ Dias fit and Gonzalez can make a difference but that’s about it.

Distractions off the field can lead to distractions on it, next season is a new start and making top 4 would be fine.

I’m sure that I have seen this thread before???

Did it not go under the Thread name of

The Last 15 minutes!!!!

Pep didn’t take on board the recommendations made in that one either!! :0(

Let’s hope that he is listening this time??? :0)

We need to add Mancini , Pep will handle the first 75 minutes

Then step aside and let Mancini finish the game.
