Away fans / tourists in home sections

Joes was full of Middle Eastern 18-25 year old plastic ‘Real Madrid’ fans
And they were annoying as fuck
Only city sold those seats…….
..these Middle Eastern 18-25 year old plastic 'Real Madrid' fans were plentiful all around. The tickets distribution is now at an all time low. The official criteria states previous history, memberships, etc., yet there are literally thousands of tickets going to one off visitors.

Are people seriously saying they've never sat in the home areas of an away ground? Sick of seeing away fans being bullied at the Etihad. In general, the champions league games are way more multi-racial and yesterday included City supporters of Spanish and Middle Eastern origin. This should be celebrated and embraced.

Imagine if you will that we became even more successful and win this chumps league cup a few more times and the WCC thingtmabob again too?

Looks like we're not winning things so that local fans can join in the win vicariously but just for the club to be able to rinse those fans and bring more well heeled fans into the fold marching them directly past the club shop every game.

Success isn't all it's made out to be.

Was in the Tunnel Club last night (which I mostly hate - yes I am Grumpy) but invited by a good friend who is a season ticket holder in there. Packed to the rafters with Real Madrid fans. Two jumped up behind us when they thought they had scored in the first half. They got a right earful from the four of us - and in fairness they shut up and sat down, and we enjoyed banter when we scored (little did we know...). But I just don't get it. At fulltime, packs of them headed to behind the RM dugout with phones out, etc. I know it's the TC and thats the price you pay for being a posh twat, which I why I hate it, and I know I always go on about tourists (especially away, like at Leyton Orient last week) - but if we don't try and challange the club on it, they will just continue to stuff the Etihad with day trippers and secretly flog hundreds of away seats on tout websites. I am also not an idoit and understand that this is the sad future of football, which is why a secret part of me can't wait for the 115 charge relegation and we get our club back. Anyway, nice to have a moan.

They can fuck off, sick to death of all these phone wielding plastic pricks, most are NOT city supporters of Spanish and middle eastern origin, one ‘good’ thing is IF we make the Europa league next season you won’t see them for love nor money.

Nope. Never. I support MCFC. If you behave and act responsibly - no worries, but many do not, and that's why they should be outed. As for own our tourists, god bless them, wherever they come from, as long as they are not pricing out our legacy fans or buying from touts. And you have to accept that we are never going to have a rocking atmosphere if you pack the stadium full of day-trippers.

Yes but never even flinched when we scored, respected where I was.

And no thank you
I’d rather the tickets were made more affordable to families who cannot afford to pay the extortionate prices we charge rather than be surrounded by a load of little dickhead plastic Madrid fans to be honest.

ETA and those giving hair trims also :/

Eh?

The amount of "away/ plastics" in the HOME end is a disgrace, not bullying, just stating facts, and will never be embraced ever, so dunno where you are going with this.

But if it drops the attendance by 10k, then that is what the club don't want, but regular match going fans to the Etihad have a right to see and question why is this so

Being an away fan in the home end is one thing , acting the **** , wearing away colours openly and telling home fans around you that you hope they lose in completely different. Have you ever sat in the home end as an away fan and done any of those things ??

The regular fans could always buy the tickets in the first place then we wouldn't have all these tourists in the ground !!!

Block 314. I've had inter fans feyenoord fans and now Madrid.
This purchase history criteria is bollocks.
These people are just buying a membership and getting a ticket.
I'm not renewing cup scheme next year. But I suppose this is what the club wants. They don't want me getting my ticket for £37. They want to sell it to a day tripper for double that.

the club maybe should stop charging 71 quid starting price for Newcastle and 43 for kids, most normal folk don't have the sums of money the club seem to think is acceptable. Last night was the atrocious, a new low in what we have become, it was like a community shield crowd at the Etihad.

The ship has sailed . Football is now a global entertainment spectacle and heavily marketed to a global audience . It's like wanting the Russel Club back instead of stadium rock .

Of course I miss the old days but its not going to change . Had a whiff of Kippax nostalgia watching Port Vale Vs Accrington Stanley from the Railway Stand a couple of weeks ago ..it was like a smaller version of the Kippax : a great big shed the whole length of the pitch . Lots of atmosphere even if only a third full. Bliss . But if Vale ever get good it'll be stuff full of the same crowd we get at the big games ...

remember Hamburg home when we sold tickets for £5 each was it? What an atmosphere that night was.
Should have sold Grealish in January and made last nights tickets £10 each
Problem solved
You wouldn't have had the ball to Guardiol and subsequent assist to Haaland for his first goal :-)

I think your missing the point - last night was hordes of arrogant, self entitled selfie taking idiots who showed no respect to their surroundings so deserve non back, FYI ive sat in many an away ground, here and abroad over the past few decades and always respected my surroundings and sat on my hands. As for bullying, behave yourself - City fans are and always have been an accomadating bunch - just dont be a dick, and being mixed race myself i think i can testify to that/
