I think that's completely unfair on the likes of Alex Howell who contribute plenty of time and effort to holding the club to account on its shortcomings.

It's not fault of theirs that the club don't listen to a thing they say

Yes, Alex has been brilliant.

How can any fan group that holds talks with the club be ridiculed by other City fans?

All of them have had their mouths gagged with NDA's by City.

Can you imagine dealing with a company that NDA's every private meeting.

I was told the construction of the North stand is NDA'd as well. Nothing get's out about it via any company and it's work force that has secured work on the North stand.

City have become a secretive and paranoid club, hiding behind NDA's, and non fan engagement. This hasn't happened by chance, this has come from the people running the club.

As I said earlier I went with my Canadian Granddaughter who has been a registered City supporter since she was about 6 months old.
Whenever the family come over, parents were Season Card holders at Maine Road and travelled to away matches regularly, we try to get tickets for the 4 of them not always successfully. So they are tourists in your eyes but not really.

Anyway the one I went with is over here on a Student Exchange for 6 months studying Criminology and International Law at Leeds university and she was asking me last night how do people get tickets for any football game. The students she is in halls with are a mixture of Australian, Canadian, Swedish and Chinese. They would love to attend a match and have been trying for Leeds without success so tried for others not sure who. So it isn’t quite as easy as some folk think obviously.
We will need youngsters to follow us as we drop off you know and the demographic is changing.
I suggest “Man City Face Value Tickets & Travel” Facebook page and they can ask for vouches on sellers. They could also join an OSC Branch.

There’s cheap travel for weekend and bank holiday games on the Harrogate Blues coach.

Leeds have a similar digital ticketing system to us but insist fans need to have a membership that costs between £50 and £75. Bradford City would be the cheaper local option.

Best post here. Manchester is full of international people, especially from Asia, but also overall, we have lots of Asian Mancs. Otherwise, we really do have real fans all around the world, and that's fantastic.

Too many people here come across like they just want only particular local, white Manchester people, preferably from old Maine Road days. That's where we need to draw a line. Lots of tourists care more about games than the locals. Many of the so called locals are there to chat with their mates, drink beer, be late, leave early. They don't sing, they are not bothered.

However, there is an issue of non City fans attending, in big numbers, and that needs to be stopped. Unacceptable from the club.

What City fans want is a season ticket freeze, a chance to buy normal season tickets, cheaper match day tickets, tickets together so family and friends can sit together, home and away tickets that aren't siphoned off by the club, tickets that don't end up on ticket touting websites, instead of going to City fans via the OS ticket website, etc.

I don't want to see 1000's of tourists, day trippers, fans of other clubs, home and AWAY, wearing other club shirts and scarfs in the City home and away ends celebrating opposition goals and victories. I want to see the Etihad and the away ends full of genuine City fans. I want to see local working class City fans who are desperate to see City play get tickets instead of the people I have mentioned above, who don't support City.

All these issues surrounding tickets home and away has been caused on purpose by the club. The club know exactly what they are doing. The are doing it to drive match day revenue without giving a fuck about genuine City fans.

As for the fans concern, upset and anger, it has nothing to do with people being Asian, Chinese, North African etc. They are just taking advantage of the opportunity the club are giving to them as City fans, opposing fans, football tourists, etc.

Thank you Tim. I will pass this information on to them. :-)

I don't understand it. Take a picture of yourself at the ground by all means, and maybe get a picture of the players on the pitch, but filming the entire thing? Watch it with your fucking eyes!!!

The whole thing is recorded on sky or whatever - there is zero reason. The only reason is people have been accustomed to filming stuff on a iPhone - they’re are addicted, they need to have a iPhone in their hand. It’s black mirror

Thanks Sheila

I guess the Plymouth Cup game would be the easiest to sort a group of tickets together. I wouod try to help if contacted. Not Canadians but we do have Americans on the coach for some game due to our connections with Menwith Hill base.

Will those families celebrate opposition winners, or hold signs up for oppo players, cut their child’s hair, or stand mob handed filming the game ? If so then they’ll be part of the problem. My guess is they won’t behave like that, they will respect our club, they will get to know it, come back again when the opportunity arises and not disappear till the next big CL game
Mad Rid fans "mob handed".

Details please ?

Yes it would be brilliant because I want a supportive crowd.

In reality, on a premier league game when there are very few 'tourists' how many sing. Just the South stand and then every now and then a few join in.

What we have to do is turn the new into the old. It will be very difficult as much of the old are silent anyway. And it will be even more difficult if the old take against the new. I am aware that a large number of City fans sense difference and don't like it but all they are is new fans. In amongst them are neutrals and away fans. You'd think people would be able to work it out.
"Just the south stand"? Do you not realise that 109/110 and 111 often make as much noise as the south stand?

The siege mentality is a direct result of the accusations and attacks on the Club by UEFA, the Prem, the hateful 8, the hacked emails, the scouse password shambles.

The Club have become as paranoid as us, and fan engagement is simply collateral damage.

Fluffing UEFA whilst ignoring the dangerous shitshow at Istanbul tells you all you need to know mate. If ever a Club should have stood shoulder to shoulder with its fans, it was then.

They didn't give a flying fuck.

What has NDAing City Matters and the discussions about the North stand with fan groups, etc, got to do with the above?

If you remember, the club stopped the Points of Blue meetings, I think that's what it was called, then they stopped engaging with the fans completely, after growing discontent amongst the fans the club then came up with City Matters via a strict Rep vetting procedure, and a NDA enforcement at the meetings.

The people who run the club aren't paranoid about anything, they know exactly what they are doing.

Ermm, you mentioned the Club were paranoid mate.
