I'm not saying that Echeverry will fail at all, but let's not start even if joking with the New sthg, already.
He certainly does not look (even being very good so far) on the level Diego and Lio were on their respective YNT Tournos, not in terms of prodcutivity, I mean on style, extreme skills and physique the two might midget had since day one.

He looks more like an Aimar (which is freaking great) than those two, which is logical since those two are quite an anomaly

I didn't see Diego or Messi at that age but I have watched some of his live games and also highlights and I think he's been amazing. But at the same time there is a gap between u20s in South America and the Premier League.

Just a reminder to everyone that Argentina play Brazil tonight but its 1 am UK time. I don't think I will stay up to watch it this time but I will look for the highlights in the morning.
