insane how much traction this has gained around the world surely one of the most popular displays ever. for me that’s the entire point of a display a voice for the fans to say something which can be seen by the world and that’s certainly done that so I can’t see how it can not be anything else but a success.

Yeah I really don't get how any City fan could have a serious problem with the banner.

The amount of whining after Rodri won the thing was unbearable and it was 100% "big club" entitlement, nothing more.

Glad we called it out, even if banter merchants miss the point because of the result of the match.

What surprises me, is that people would come to the thread,four fucking days after a banner was displayed, to say how shit they thought it was.

On the night, ok fine. The next day, fuming at everything and anything after the loss, ok I get it. But four days later? Maybe we really are that 'small time'.

Wonder if their fans are arguing the banner is the reason they conceded that equaliser, had 3 sent off, and that Everton are the ones laughing at the end.

I’ve not been that arsed about it to comment earlier and was more preoccupied with matters on the pitch. And other threads. And other things in life. But I have come on to this thread now, and I’d agree I thought it was cringe, small time etc.

I loved it. Why? Because Vinicius Jr has shown himself to be an absolute dick, playing for a team who believe that they have a divine right to dictate to the rest of football. Any objective eye could see that Rodri was the world's most effective footballer last season.
 
Agree entirely with all the people having no problem with the banner. Yeah so we might have been left with egg on our faces but it certainly wasn't because of the banner, it was because our players can't handle pressure anymore, the banner didn't make Ederson fuck up for for the last two goals, or for Lewis and Kovacic to fuck up for the third. It's down to Manchester City players for being brain dead idiots
