Speed and directness really paying off.
Yes, not getting too carried away, let's see if this energy and concentration is there in the second half. It’s a lovely sight but we have been here before…
Today better not be another one of those days.
We look so much better with him in there, looking forward to seeing him next to RodriGonzales as everyone's eyes and ears when it's in the first two thirds is so important.
I am so so happy.
Couple more and we’ll be fine ;)It’s a lovely sight but we have been here before…
Today better not be another one of those days.
Precisely. This is what Haaland has been needing all season, a second real goal scoring threat. Our wingers in the last 2 seasons haven't been productive enough and it's meant Haaland gets targeted every game.
Now if the defense focuses on Haaland we have Marmoush and vice versa.
And if Phil is firing again that make it even better.
So much control. So much happiness. We look so much better with him in there, looking forward to seeing him next to Rodri
AgreeLevels above Doku
Yes we actually have players behind the ball when they breakNico holds his position so well. Very promising signs
Especially when it allows Ilkay to play in his best role.Nico is what facilitates this. Amazing what a decent holding midfielder can do
They became something of a self parody late last year. Just passive to a fault. Looking really energised today.I'm sure the players prefer this quicker, expansive style of playing rather than the ultra safe, ball in the fridge way of playing.
Steve Mcmanaman likes this post!Nico btw showing leadership in the midfield. Telling everyone where to go
