City launch legal action against the Premier League | Club & PL reach settlement | Proceedings dropped (p1147)

For the record my nickname is Dave and I lived in Didsbury when I joined this forum.

I went to Konspiracy many times and when I first met GDM we found out we were in there the same night even though we wouldn’t meet for another 20 years.

Fascinating stuff eh
Having met DD in Porto I can confirm that Dave is Dave, from Didsbury..

..and a media whore.

Thank you.

I must have missed the wall to wall coverage over this “seismic win” city achieved.

One or two stories. That it?

Now I may be mistaken but the 115/130 news seemingly never left the mainstream news stations.

I want reports showing how corrupt the league is and I want to know what punishment is expected.

It’s only fair.

Unlawful and unenforceable.

Come out, come out where ever you are. Seekers of truth and justice.

It’ll be swept under the carpet and filed under “never happened”.

You know what's laughable about this whole situation? Fair market value for associated party transactions. Yet there is no such system for player transfer fees and value. Why? Because it's ultimately left up to the market to determine, i.e. the buyer sets the value with what they're willing to pay, the seller confirms that market value by paying it, or walks away, and in theory, aren't all premier league teams associated parties?

I'm not saying for a moment that I think football clubs should get away with whatever they can or overspend to their hearts content, but let's be real these financial rules have never had that aim, and unless you're talking about wage caps or a handicapped draft system, I just don't see how the more successful clubs don't continue to be more financially attractive, nor why that should be stopped just because other clubs don't like it.
Weren’t we involved in that as well :-). Juve were being in Italy over their swap/transfer deal with us Moreno/Correira.

The dodgiest deals have surely imvolved Chelsea in the past with money on the side for Hazard. Any of the deals involving luiz.

There has been some weird deals to balance the books this season as well Minteh, Kelly and most deals involving Chelsea.

we got here because gdm called my rag mate a nonce.
i suggested he had hugged my rag mate when we were all in shelley's at the same time.

it developed on from there
and is far more interesting than all the he said she said i said no you said bollox.

up the blue ravers!

Are you telling me it’s only newsworthy if City is painted as the evil, corrupt usurper?

I am waiting patiently for the Sundays to roll out. Masters head must be ready to roll.

The silence tells its own story.
