Play as young a team as possible (within reason). If we go out then so be it but please don't go with oldies and end up having the same stutters as usual.

.............Ederson..............
Khusonov Stones Dias Gvardiol
...............Nico.................
Savinho ....Foden .........Doku
.......Haaland Marmoush.......

I think it will be
Ederson
Khusanov Dias AKE/Stones Gvardiol
Nico - Bernardo - Kovacic
KDB
Marmoush - Haaland

Wish:
Nico - Bernardo
Savinho - KDB - Marmoush
9.

go a small bet on down here. $20 gets me $76, good price, however I was offered city to win in 90 then go through by pens was over 400.......

Phil always produces moments against RM. I admit so has KDB in the past, but time has caught up with him, obvs.
I'd always have Foden in a game like this

Thought Phil played well last Tuesday. The question is not whether he can help us in attack, but how to field a balanced team that wouldn't make it easy for Real to create chances. We need more bodies in midfield to help out the defence.

Currently, Savinho is doing better as a winger and Marmoush isn't likely to get benched after yesterday's performance. Adding Foden to them and Haaland makes us too open and soft in the middle. Real are much better than Newcastle and play at home...

People go by past glory and want all the big names in the starting XI, e.g., both KDB and Foden. It's better to go with those who are in better form now and field a team that not only can attack but also defend.

I think Pep will look at the result of Newcastle game and plan accordingly.
Nico, Marmoush & Khusanov integrated well, the way Stones, Nico, Khusanov & Rico coped with “the most inform striker in Europe” bodes well. Khusanov’s pace might mean he comes in to replace Rico at left back & Dias will drop in his usual role.
Hopefully Haaland is OK, his & Marmoush will be a handful within movement

Am not expecting a miracle, and the chances are that i won't be seeing one either, but City need to stay calm, cut the panicky mistakes out ( are you listening Gvardiol?), and give it their best shot ..... if we don't attack we won't score goals, and if we can fluke one goal, we can hopefully rattle them, build on it, and fluke two!

Its gonna be extremely difficult for us because of their stunning ability to counter attack at pace, and find their men .... but we don't want penalties, as Ederson rarely gets anywhere near saving one!

Said this already but we're one goal down and it's half time in this game. And we looking stronger than we did before the first of the two games. remember Stingray - ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN! (one for the FOC's)

Oh to live in hope of getting to penalties. We could save a substitution and bring Ortega on at 120 mins. We could even keep Eddie on the pitch to take one. I would be more than happy to get the chance to revenge last years shootout defeat as things stand now.
